This entire series is a very unique spin on the hero and demon Lord Trope. This guy lucille, he is in it for the good of mankind in earnest. He is not the hero officially, but he is the one who chooses to prepare the way for the hero to come after him. I'm not going to spoil it, but let's just say that without Lucille , the hero would certainly lose 40 years after this story, and the demon Lord with the evil god with triumph. He becomes a legend in his own right. However, I would like to think that the hero is also one of the 10 people who got isekai, he just appears 20 years+ after Lucille. The struggle for the world's survival will happen when Lucille is in his 60s or something. I would write the story to where Lucille actively mentors and assists the hero.

just had this come in from amazon and for some reason I'm missing the poster and book number 7 not really bothering me that much as the other 2 sets I got (2 and 3) had everything in it but I do have to order the 7th separately p cool series though

The 1st 3 books are good but the last 3 are not so great. Honestly, it should have ended after a certain event in book 3, not the actual ending of the book.

Great review, but i dont see a point in getting this comic/manga since its just a summary of ep 1. There are no extras that are not shown in tv show. Are we becoming so dumb to pay for comics that are literally few frames from anime.

Kazuo Umezu is a giant in the world of horror. It is an honor to have foreign audiences appreciate the richness of Japanese horror expression. He is a master in this world, but the Japanese art of horror is much deeper. It is not limited to manga.

I had a bad experience with this collection that the black ink came out very washed out, they almost looked like they were taken from a bad scan. Volume 2 also came out higher than volume 1, which damaged the union of the drawings on the spine...after that I didn't want to continue collecting this edition.

Really weird to see physical manhwa. Many of the affects are probably lost due to turning the pages compared to slowly scrolling and exposing the scene.

I find this a bit perculiar, not in a bad way. This is my first manhwa but I am an avid manga reader and they read opposite to english, back to front. So to see a manhwa flipped is surprising becaus I thought it cost more to flip it. Or do koreans read left to right as well?

I have a question for you (since it looks like you're an avid collector of books/TPB/Manga): Do you think the spine will hold up to reading without stretching or folding? I've had my copy for 2 years now and I want to read it so bad....but the former comic collector in me says, "Bro, if you read it you're wrecking that beautiful spine." Any advice on reading it besides not pressing it flat ect ect?

You were discussing problems of storing comics (as a 13 yr. old). Moving up 10 yrs. or so bags and boards as well as storage boxes (I got mine from BCW), become available. For Manga as a 13 yr. old, not so easy. As a 13 yr. old you might ask dad to go to Ikea and get a bookshelf that he will put together for you- great fun there. I remember dragging an O'Sullivan brand home on the bus 30 years ago.

the french edition of these is made by Kurokawa, and doesn't have hard cover. Way more comfortable to hold and snuggle with in the couch !! and it's cheaper, too !! i wish i could show you !!

Hey Suave! So I see it's been a year since I commented and I finally decided to pick up Natsu. Haha! I collect so many figures and every time I was about to pull the trigger on this one, something else released that prevented me from doing so. The release of Good Smile's XL Fairy Tail figures also put a damper on on decision. Ultimately what did it for me was the upcoming releases of Ezra and Gray. Just knowing we were getting the entire gang convinced me. I just wish Ezra and Gray could share a base like Natsu and Lucy.

As gorgeous as this new English edition is, it is rather annoying that there are so few colour pages. And apparently the paper is rather thin. The Dark Horse omninbus edition was wonderful (I read them online), but sadly they're out of print now and available nowhere.😢

Does the omnibus contain the cover art of individual volumes inside like berserk deluxe?
