I saw winter when I was a kid. Can’t believe she’s gone

My wife and I watched this movie. At the end during this clip we were both crying as soon as they showed the children getting in the water with the dolphin. It really hits you hard.

I remember watching this movie when i was little I was obsessed with wanting to meet Winter. I remember every dollar bill I got for my birthday I'd want to save it for a trip to see the world and see Winter. When I heard Winter died it broke my heart, she was such an inspiration. I'm 16 and since I was a little kid I loved to draw and write stories. I've just finished a mock up version of my characters who lost their limbs and specially a dolphin just like Winter she lost her tail but with these kids missing limbs they formed a relationship with her. I look forward to making their story, I just had to come back and watch this because every time I look at these characters I picture this song playing.

Some people here wish they had seen Winter again. I do not. My only regret is that I didn't know about Winter earlier, when she was still alive. I saw this movie for the first time just a few days ago because I was interested in the English title. The title of the movie "Dolphin's Tale" in my language was translated to "My friend dolphin" which is even more beautiful once I have watched the entire movie. Sawyer and Winter's friendship is truly wonderful and touching, and dolphins are truly wonderful creatures. I remember that as a child I loved watching movies about them. I was in love with these animals. I even had my beloved dolphin mascot - Flipper, with whom I spent really beautiful moments in my childhood. Now, after so many years, as an 18-year-old girl seriously thinking about the future, I wanted to watch this movie with Flipper on my lap. You can laugh. I honestly don't care. I love movies about the friendship between humans and animals. I love all animals. I love swimming, but most of all I love dolphins. Thanks to this wonderful film, I could remember it again after many years. My biggest dream was to see a dolphin in real life someday. Now I feel this dream has become even stronger... *I'll forever love Winter and her story* 💖🥺
