Sunset Farm is located in Kentucky. My day job is cyber security and we like to farm on the side. Because of my love for technology, we have a lot of automation, cameras, and other IoT's around the farm. I created this channel to share some of the moments we capture with these camera's around the farm. I hope it will get people excited about small farming, spark interest in the adventures you can have with your animals, and how to use technology to make the whole thing easier.
Chicken Sprinter
She heard the automatic free range door open and came sprinting to catch up with the other chickens. I have never seen my chicken move so fast! She really loves free ranging.

Mouse scores big when the barn cat is away

My security camera caught the fact that my barn cat took the night off and this little mouse worked hard all night to take all the cat food. The mouse started at midnight and worked until 6am to take every piece of cat food out of the bowl. I have the video in double time, and you can see the time tick by in the bottom right of the screen. Looks like he is all set on food for a while!
Rooster battles hawk and saves hen's life.

My Rooster did his job today by defending the hens from a hawk that slipped through a hole in my fence which has now been patched. I have created a smart coop for my Chickens fully equipped with cameras. One of my camera's captured this moment on video. We were excited to see our rooster (BigMan) step up and protect the hens.
