For real. I remember trying it out early on when it wasn't a separate boon from the regular cast, and it feeling kinda decent, but damn its not good

Yeah its kind of a direct counter to charon, apollo legendary is kind of s must on charon if you can get it, with gigae cleaver that goes hard

@@Putrescence420 Yeah I was trying to fish for it but, probably should've just rolled for super nova or something to activate it instead of taking prominence

@@grjt_ Funny story the first time I went for 32 fear with Charon axe I did the same thing and it almost cost me my run, that's when I learned that it counters it hard, anyway keep up with the content always good to see more hades!

It's not a bother. They're one of the fear settings, I don't remember the name, but it gives enemies a chance to spawn revenants (the green orbs) when they die. If you don't pick the revenant up, the enemy will respawn at full health with armour if it had.

I honestly expected it to kinda suck since it wasn't a percentage buff, but it's actually a nasty build

If she does it as she is impervious the shield bubble sticks on her for a bit. I've always assumed she goes the furthest from you and it usually works but sometimes it doesn't. Mostly I just guess and hope it works out.

Yeah, I feel like they really shine in the Cerberus room since there is enough space for them to track a bit wonky and still hit, but otherwise they are kinda tough to use.

Honestly. Was able to get a sub 8 a couple of days later, but this should've been it in the first place. I finally stopped messing up the hex for the most part though so hopefully it doesn't get me again haha

Missing out on the second hammer twice was so rough, but honestly double moonshot is so goofy strong I didn't really mind

Hey great question, mostly some heat/fear settings benefit the player a lot. The one that makes enemies faster also makes them spawn faster, so you can clear rooms faster. I take the one that decreases all healing you recieve so I can run white antler and not worry about being over 30 health. There is one that makes you start each room with 0 magick, which lets us proc the card that increases your attack and special damage when you have less than 100% magick. You also take the fear that locks you out of getting boons if they are offered and you pick another one. That's really good because most of the time you need 1 core boon to open up the other stuff you want from a specific god. It just gives that stuff a better chance to appear since you wont be offered some other things that dont impact your build. Last is the timer fear. In hades 1 it would stop rooms that pause the timer from appearing, which was mostly used for runs using RTA timing. To my knowledge it doesnt work like that in Hades 2 but I just like taking it. Sorry if this is a bit awkwardly formatted Im writing this on a phone, but I can post the fear I run on my community tab in a bit if you just wanted to see like which specific ones they are I can never remember their names

The names don't matter too much either, I've played a bunch of the game myself, so I recognize like all the pact options. And sorry for mixing up heat/fear lol, I still just use the Hades 1 terms because people still normally get it and I'm still getting used to what things are called in the second game. I've had them together, idk for sure but I notice spiral knives are just kinda awkward to use in regular non-boss rooms. Like for the Cerberus fight I was having all of them hit pretty consistent but it was kinda iffy in other rooms. I'm pretty sure it does decrease the range though generally speaking, I think its the backwards knives having to like turn around to track enemies in the cast. But whenever I get spiral knives I just try to get as close to enemies as I can so maybe that's why I didnt notice it much

Whenever I do get spiral I try boundless flurry as the second hammer, I think hook knives probably output more damage but they are just kinda awkward together so its not as consistent

@@grjt_ Had ranged cast so was able to stay further back. Next time I'll definitely go flurry if I get the option. Will probably be better for the Chronos fight anyway as I don't often get a chance to use a fully charged cast.

Yeah trying to get any charge move off on Chronos is rough. Him negating your time slows is super cool but it messes me up so much

The last one was a heater and I wish I recorded a death before hand so that would get more rep

Thanks, you can definitely expect more Hades stuff in the future. It'll be between some more videos like this, challenge runs and speedruns too! Just gotta find time between playing the game to get those started haha
