Simeulue Island Day in the Life Surfing & Banana Bread Mahi Mahi Surf Resort
Hi! I've been in Indonesia and here's a day in the life at Mahi Mahi Surf Resort in Indonesia. Simeulue is an island that you can get to by flying on a small flight or ferry from Medan. Probably easiest to fly into Kuala Lumpur and then short flight to Medan and then to short flight to Simeulue. It's a neat place; really conservative, lots of wild buffalo just hanging around, and uncrowded surfing.
I've been surfing and hanging out in Indonesia and this place is a highlight :)

We got together for an afternoon beach day for the girls and we ended up making fun out of a windy and cold day (it was 70 degrees out). The surf wasn't so good so we opted for every other beach activity and resorted to digging a hole.

Hello, I'm Brazilian and the VW T2 were manufactured here until 2013, come to Brazil and stock up on parts, after all it's cheaper here because of the exchange rate between the dollar and the real... I'm currently building a mini camper With a 2006 water-cooled VW T2C, one day I intend to travel the world with it...
That sounds like a trip of a lifetime to be had! Good luck on the build out. I'd never thought of that -- the think is the parts are big so shipping them back might be the same cost as importing a vehicle haha
with the value of the dollar I am seriously thinking about collecting it so that one day I can sell the VW T2 Kombi, there are a lot of people who do this and earn very well, here in Brazil and Latin America you can find a lot of very cheap old cars, there was a couple who were from vw t2b 2004 to the united states and sold the kombi for 39 thousand dollars@@Nikkicolesurfer

you really need to know your bus so you can minimize/mitigate future problems. and you seem to be well on your way. :) make sure to change oil at 3k intervals. it will help you catch issues before they become problems. Take Care!

I want to surf, I have visited Maui last year in February, but didn't get the chance to surf. Where would you recommend learning surf as a beginner on Maui or the other Islands. Namaste ✨💞
Hi!! Thank you, there are beginner spots on all the islands - the best places to start are Maui or Oahu. Kauai could be good as well. Big Island is mostly rocky so it's harder to learn and navigate a lot of the spots. I'd recommend checking Surfline forecasts and looking for spots that are 2-4 ft waves and sandy. Populars at Waikiki or Diamond Head are typically where I bring friends that are learning to surf together!

Quick tip: the 45L Peak Design Travel Bag has some handy straps hidden beneath the magnetic flap at the bottom. Perfect for lugging around larger gear externally.
Thanks for that! I've taken one of those and connected the tripod on side of bag it helps but it still falls over. I wonder what the main use of that magnetic strap pocket/flap would be cause it goes pretty deep?
