    Wow! Don't know what you do for a living but you make excellent videos. Great lighting, background music & perfectly makes the helmet the subject of the video both visually & with the information presented. Finally, I hope you'll let me ask a light, humorous question: As a US citizen who grew up just a few hours from the US-Canadian border, I'd always hear ppl refer to Canadians (usually hockey players) with a postive term of endearment "Canuks.' The last syllable rhymed with "hooks." Now as a middle aged US citizen I've become used to vast numbers of my countrymen being wrong about many, many subjects. So when a citizen of our biggest trading partner & one of our greatest allies pronounces "Canuk" differetly than I've heard since the early 1970s, I take notice. 😂 So it won't hurt my feelings if this is one of thousands of things that Americans get wrong. In fact the spelling suggests that many of us have pronounced it wrong. With that in mind, is your pronunciation of "Canuk" the norm for most Canadians? Again, thank you for that video. Best wishes for you, your wife & your channel. I wish that I could repay you by keeping Canada out of unnecessary wars to expand the failing American empire but simce I can't I'll sunscribe to your channel & hope for the best. 🇨🇦🇺🇲🌎

      I must say that without exception your comment is the most comprehensive I have ever seen on my channel. It there fore deserves a complete response. I started doing video and hence the TH-cam channel about 5 years after I retired and after I got my motorcycle license at 61. My work life was in the business world and had nothing to do with video production. I have always been a bit of a computer nerd so the whole editing thing was pretty attractive to me. The TH-cam channel itself was really hatched as a COVID boredom project. The “Canuk” is spelled incorrectly (deliberately) it actually should be “Canuck”. The pronunciation is open to interpretation, up here we go with the last part of the word rhyming with “puck”. To the best of my knowledge it came from a group of Canadian Olympic skiers in the 70’s called the “Crazy Canucks” know for their hell bent for leather approach to the sport. The United States and Canada do have an interesting relationship. We share the longest unprotected border in the world with towns where neighbourhoods are bisected by that border. Our entire population is equal to that of the state of California. It is challenging at times, as I say to my wife occasionally, when the US sneezes Canada gets a cold from it 😀. Thanks for comment and for your interest in the channel. 🇨🇦👍

    Beautiful boat!! Your story sounds similar to ours in that we were boaters for about 25 years (down in the Holland River area of Lake Simcoe). About 5 years ago we decided to sell our 285 Four Winns. My work schedule meant many trips away from home so the boat was often seldom used and just sitting at the marina. We always felt that when we retired we would get back to boating. Well that time has arrived but we are now a little unsure if we want to invest all of the time and resources (of course including the cost) and get back in. I'm more keen than my wife to return but I feel we both totally need to be on the same page to ensure it all works out well. You've got me thinking though that maybe I need to ramp up the sales job lol. Thanks for sharing Kevin

      Thanks for your comment and for your interest in the channel. The return to boating in this case was led by my wife. You are absolutely right, it has to a team decision. We are definitely pursuing a calmer approach this time. Lake Simcoe, the Trent , keeping it fairly local so far. Our last boat was in Georgian Bay which is a whole different style of boating. I wish you all the best with your retirement whatever way your boating decision goes. As you can see by our channel we are up to all kinds of stuff. We have been retired for 10 years and loving every day of it. 👍🇨🇦

    • @BikeBoatandTravel
      @BikeBoatandTravel 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for your comment. The visor can be opened partially and it will stay there. It does not have defined detents for partially open positions. I have a Cardo Freecom 2 on this helmet and installed it using the “clamp” option. While the mounting is secure I found that the mount clamp disrupted the reinstallation on the padding. I would recommend using the 3M stick on cradle for the communicator, then you only have to deal with the wire. I used that method on my wife’s Shoei J cruise open face and it was a much cleaner install and is very secure. Good luck with your purchase, ride safe. 👍🇨🇦

    I appreciate your honest review, good job! I too have an LS2 Valient 2 and I agree with the chin pads, they do take a while to compress but the chin pads also make me feel safe and protected too! The chin bar certainly can make the chin area more snug but I did find that by stretching the helmet and pads out with my hands without the chin bar down made an enormous difference on both the bad tightness and how snug the chin bar is. I do find the helmet quite even with the chin bar back and visor open. I normally wear polarized sun glasses which in all other helmets I get teary eyes but not with this helmet. Also, I have found with the chin bar up and the visor up the air flow feels great especially in this 100 degree heat we are having. The helmet does not move around when you look left and right and feels balanced enough that I don't get neck pain. I use a Cardin Edge communication system which fits very well and is clear as a conversation without the helmet. Once the the chin bar and and pads are adjusted physically the helmet has turned it to my favorite. Of which my wife and I both have the identical helmet. Thanks for the review and be safe on your travels.

      We just leave the trailer at the hotel and we put a ball lock in the hitch. so that someone could not just tow it away. When it is attached to the Spyder have it attached and locked.

      @@BikeBoatandTravel , thank you so much, I really appreciate the feedback. My wife and I are considering purchasing two (his/hers) 2024 Can-Am Sea To Sky edition since we very recently retired. However, we're waiting for them to resolve their Apple CarPlay issues. If they don't resolve the issues soon, we'll then consider the 2025 Can-Am Sea To Sky. 🙂

      I had heard that BRP had added Apple Car Play for the 24's but did not realize that they were having issues. I hear that Android / Google has not allowed the use of Android Auto which I am sure is ruffling some feathers. I wish BRP had gone that route in the first place as that BRP Connect system was not good. I wish I could have my Apple Car Play on mine, I use in my car all the time. Best of luck on your purchase whatever you decide and congrats on the retirement, 10 years for us as of May 30th. Thanks for your comment and for your interest in the channel. 👍🇨🇦

    Murphy's law!!! The only thing I watched your video for was to find out what the button fwd of the Reverse button was, and you never even showed it 😒😒

    • @BikeBoatandTravel
      @BikeBoatandTravel 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are correct. That is the BRP CONNECT button. I don’t use that software so that is why I probably missed it the video.

    • @AndreChampoux
      @AndreChampoux 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BikeBoatandTravel Perhaps it's time to make a new video. Your video is titled "WHAT DO ALL THOSE BUTTONS DO??", but you don't cover *all* of the buttons. There was even a part where you said you don't use it so you don't know. It's either *all* of the buttons or it's not. Maybe your 2nd video can go more into detail with the display and all of the parts, even cover the trips & stats, screen display adjustment, etc. Anyway, I learned about the App yesterday, so I found out what that button does (the hard way). If you do cover the App in a new video, please use an Android & an IPhone, so everyone gets in on it, including the software it can connect to. Also cover that if it's not working, it's probably your USB cable (I learned that the hard way too) **Thanks

    As per your comment at approx 14:49, no, they don't know what they are doing. If they are charging to use their map instead of letting us use Google's Android Auto, it's because they are money-greedy. Just like why you can't put a key-ring on your key, you need to pay extra for a key-ring holder. It's total BS. A 2024 Sea-To-Sky is over $40,000 Canadian, yet they still won't include Android-Auto or a key-ring holder? But hey, they include a suite case for the front of your ride, which you will rarely use, but the key is used EVERY RIDE. BRP needs to pool their owners and get feedback so they can be made aware of the "real world" they are apparently not aware of.

      I’d did a bit of checking and as I am sure you probably know the 24’s come with apple car play but not android auto. The reason behind this as I understand it is that Android / Google does not allow it to be used on motorcycles. Anyway, thanks for your comments and for your in the channel.

    • @AndreChampoux
      @AndreChampoux 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BikeBoatandTravel BRP lies about why they don't support Android Auto. They blame Google for not allowing it on bikes, but the Gold Wing has it and so do the Harley's. th-cam.com/video/g-H_AFgjhUo/w-d-xo.html The BRP Pro App allows you to connect to Apple or Android. Just not Android Auto, but Sygic Maps which sucks: 1) Because it's pay to use 2) Because it can't find a lot of the addresses that Google Maps can.

    Hey thanks for the review I wished I had seen this two days ago - I just bought this and now I’m having second thoughts after watching your issues…😢 I can send it back not a problem. Question which helmet did you get your wife …? The Shoei Neotec 2 ?

    • @BikeBoatandTravel
      @BikeBoatandTravel 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      She ended up going away from the modular style all together. We got a full refund for her LS2 as they could not repair or replace it in a timely fashion. We got her a Shoei RF SR full face as it was near the cooler end of our season and the helmet was also much lighter. The following season she got a Shoei J-Cruise open face for the warmer weather riding. I still have my LS2 but I use pretty much 100% open and I also have RF SR full face. Thanks for your comment and for your interest in the channel. 👍🇨🇦

    Well that has put me off Ls2 helmets I think the tech had overtaken the design and or reliability of some of these modular helmets, I’ve just ordered a neotec 2 in a sale £200 off list, well old list with the neotec three coming on the scene
