biggest problem i have with throwing in this game is the fact you don't keep the weapon you had if you leave combat. if the items never disappeared or got thrown out of ring it wouldn't be too much a problem but if you do at present, you run a large risk of losing a weapon. if it's a gold weapon your down your second most useful item next to shield or breastplate. id love it if they chose a more m&b approach to range, where you CAN lose your main weapon if you throw that but can have a set of spears for a weapon type and hold it on your back and get replenished after battle. nice little 3 stack of spears or throwing axes/knives or something, with a gold version of them as well. sure there would be balancing decisions but think it would add to game mechanics. at present everyone plays the same. 1h shield 1h weapon you never throw. your constant struggle with that would be mitigated if you actually had a ranged option that was not extremally poor advised. also think you should get more options having 2h or 2 1h weapons so they actually are a good option. some kind of berserk mode with them comes to mind where you gain high mobility and stamina, maybe even have it only as an option if wearing light armor. that way you have some purpose using that. at present it's shield or die and while realistic from a gameplay perspective it is very limiting.

I think what could be improved in this game is how unreliable the in-game ranking of the weapons is. Legendary weapons are often not even an upgrade to the weapons you already have and the prices are all over the place. It feels unsatisfying to find almost the best weapon in the game within the first few fights. I want to rock full legendary gear in the endgame but that is often not worth it. Also, the cleaving Flagga lost ranking spots hard. Went from A to C from the last ranking. Overall the ranking did not change too much even with the new animations.

Can you go back to doing weapon reviews for this game? Would love to see one on the greatest shield bypasser thus far, the Great War Pick

1:15 is big, I kept rolling the dice at only level 4

I'm still trying to figure out WHEN the enemies appear, for instance some of the boss fights they dont come out until phase 2, but the fight screen doesnt really explain (makes it seem like they all come out at once)

Also if you are being escorted by a guard to a public area, like Dirty Ice when they escort you to the main room, you can unlock the door in front of him so that you have it unlocked after.

Nicely done mate! Seems have the entourage on every fight is a pretty big help. I had no arm and no chest piece run recently and it was honestly harder than this. Was super hard because very hard to block speaks or piercing shots which was how I died

I’m sick of people in this comment section bringing up the purity perk. Cool… you have to beat the game just for Saber and combat in general to have realism. Damage output for Cal and Damage received from Cal should have went up as you increased difficulty. Padawan difficulty would feel like if Cal had a Toys R’ Us Lightsaber and Grandmaster difficulty feeling like having the purity perk on

Really cool changes. The traits are a game-changer especially. Managed to hot-roll an athletic aspirant which wearing sandals and light gear on, bumped his movement up to a whopping 135! no one could touch this Usain Bolt

Really great change

Great idea with the trait rewards for bosses and tournaments. Bosses often did not seem worth it once you were rocking legendary weapons and tournaments were often a bigger time investment that now sounds more worth it.

I also love you, Platonically. Game is rock hard, even with all your advice. Only completed one story in 20 plus hours.

Very well made video, excellent narration too! Honesty yeah, no online play is a bummer, but that didn't stop me from dumping around 90 hours into the game in the span of a little over a month lol! I agree with you 100% on the combat of this game, it's amazing, has plenty of room for mastery, and just feels so rewarding to "git gud". Haven't played Sekiro yet, though I was planning on playing Ghost of Tsushima. If I like this game, should I try Sekiro first?

Anyone know what the exact metric it is that contributes to gaining score? Like is it fame earned, kills, damage Ect? Im trying to reach the 10mil Ascended

I freaking hate that room with floor is lava and lasers. I swear no matter how I time it. I either hit a laser or some bs geometry pushes me and I miss my target. There’s just never any in between. Like why is the freaking potted tree allowed to push me when I am not even near it?!

I got the Legate Dividus on week 9. Guess that makes the loot a bit better.
