A quick overview of the Mamiya RB67 Pro (with shutter sound)
It was just a matter of time before I picked one of these up! In this video, I give a brief overview of the Mamiya RB67 Pro in hand. While there are tons of amazing in-depth videos out there, I made this quick overview so that you can get a basic introduction on how to work your way around this beautiful camera from 1970. Maybe you're contemplating purchasing one or perhaps you just picked one up and want to know some of the basic features.
Skip to 0:04:55 to hear the sound of the Mamiya RB67 Pro shutter winding and release.
Here are the components that I go over:
- Waist Level Finder and Magnifier
- Nameplate Release
- Shutter Lever
- Focusing Knob
- Exposure Compensation / Distance Scale
- RB67 Pro-SD Film Back and Lock
- Double Exposure Lock
- Shutter and Shutter Lock
- Lens Mount and Release System
- Mirror Up Lock
- Aperture and Shutter Speed
* It's important to note that I'm looking at a RB67 Professional (Pro) body with a Pro-S film back. There may be some slight differences between our cameras.
I recommend this video from David Hancock for an in-depth review: th-cam.com/video/8DmzI8x0J8o/w-d-xo.html

The Olympus XA2 is an excellent choice
มุมมอง 27K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Thinking of buying an Olympus XA2? In this video, I take a deep dive into this small but powerful 35mm camera and shoot a roll of Kodak Gold 200 on a sunny evening around town. Overall this camera is exceptionally sharp, easy to use, and beautifully designed. Even better, it's reasonably priced compared to some other compact 35mm cameras such as the Contax T2 and Yashica T4 (to name a few). I a...
Buying a Contax T2? Consider the original Contax T instead (full review)
มุมมอง 6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video, I review the original Contax T and share some sample images that I captured during a snowstorm in Revelstoke, BC. I much prefer the value of the Contax T over the T2, but overall I would recommend picking up an Olympus XA2 over either of the Contax models. I also go through how to load the Contax T with film, which proves itself to be very tricky to complete on the go compared to...
Should you get a Contax T2?
มุมมอง 19K2 ปีที่แล้ว
So you're probably wondering if the Contax T2 is really worth $1,100 these days. In this video, I share my experience with the camera over the past year and try and determine what kind of person this camera is best suited for. What do you think? Do you own a T2 or have you owned one previously? What's your favourite 35mm point-and-shoot camera? Thanks for watching! - Maxim B. Vidricaire 📷 Follo...
How to quickly test a point and shoot film camera (Vivitar T330)
มุมมอง 17K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Quick little video of what I look for when purchasing used 35mm point and shoot cameras. This should help you quickly assess a camera that you may be looking to buy from a thrift shop or other marketplace. I specifically look at the Vivitar T330 in this video, which I picked up for my friend Emma on the east coast. Thanks for watching! - Maxim B. Vidricaire 📷 Follow me on Instagram - instagram....
Taking product photos of Patagonia and film cameras in Revelstoke
มุมมอง 1993 ปีที่แล้ว
Buying and selling used gear is somewhat of an addiction of mine. In this video, I bring you along for a hike up the base of Mt. Mackenzie in Revelstoke, BC and take some outdoor product shots for a few Instagram pages that I run. You can find the Patagonia gear and film camera for sale here: Used Patagonia Gear: patagoniagain Used 35mm Film Cameras/Personal: maxvid...
Catching a sunrise in Revelstoke and hiking to Begbie Falls with Bas
มุมมอง 2093 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video, I explore some of my favourite spots around Revelstoke to take some photos! Join me and my good friend Bas as we make our way over to the resort for sunrise and then walk The Flats to get a clear view onto Mount Begbie. In the afternoon we head to the West side of the Columbia River for a 3 km hike down to Begbie Falls to wrap things up. Thanks for watching! - Maxim B. Vidricaire...
Skiing FRESH POW at Revelstoke Mountain Resort
มุมมอง 8333 ปีที่แล้ว
I always get excited when I get to ski fresh powder and take photos in the same day! In this video, I link up with my good childhood friend Cam Keith (@camk3ith) for some laps around Revelstoke Mountain Resort and then take you through some of the images I captured from that day. Cam's channel: th-cam.com/users/thaSCDB I'm new to being in front of the camera, so any feedback would be greatly ap...
Revelstoke Mountain Resort - North America's longest descent! (The Last Spike)
มุมมอง 24K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Take a run with me down "The Last Spike" at Revelstoke Mountain Resort in British Columbia, Canada. Having recently moved here, I figured it would be a good idea to take a full lap down this 13 km green run to share with friends and family looking to plan future ski trips here. It's a lot better to visualize the terrain with a 4k video rather than guessing based on a trail map! Drop any questio...
Running Through Old Montreal (With No One Around)
มุมมอง 4224 ปีที่แล้ว
Quiet was an understatement on my morning run through Old Montreal. With the current state of the city, province, country and world, it is more important than ever to stay happy, active, and keep connect with each another (in safe and smart ways). I genuinely love making things, all types of things, and today I had an itch to make a video to document the streets at 6:22am. I would be more than ...
Why you NEED to explore Canada's East Coast (Road Trip)
มุมมอง 2505 ปีที่แล้ว
Making plans for your upcoming summer travels? This year, I challenge you to consider making it a domestic trip (hear me out). With the world at our fingertips, our generation is known to travel far and wide in search of new experiences. And to be fair, I don’t blame us! Relatively cheap flights and an abundance of information leads us to some of the most beautiful and remote places on Earth. P...
