2017 Chrysler Pacifica Rear Passenger Sliding Door Malfunction Fix

Video of wiring harness replacement th-cam.com/video/VGEbES5oYtY/w-d-xo.html
same problem on my 2017 pacifica, but the harness cover broke right at the door, and cut a wire which is too short to reconnect to anything and it has also taken out my heated seats are remote car start function ugh
What was your exact issue? My door stopped dead in the middle one day because the physical cable got stuck somehow. I disconnected the cable from the door to be able to close the door, but now the cable grinds around and the door randomly opens itself while driving now. I need to replace the cable system.
I need the part Number please
Any help on removing the door panel that has the sunshade? Struggling with that part, this video was helpful but doesn’t have the sunshade.
My 2017 Pacifica will try to close on its own when the door is open. also when driving we will get a notification on dash saying unable to open door while in gear. is it possible this could be the cause?
While I'm not a mechanic, it may be worth checking to see if any wiring is damaged. Process of elimination if nothing else! Good luck!
Change the name or add something saying slinging door panel removal. There are lot of people on the forums looking for this video for speaker installs. They are searching those terms. Add that and you will get more views. This was very helpful. Thank you.
Thank you, Joe, for the tutorial. I was trying to take the door panel out. But it is very hard to pull out. So I stopped there to avoid any damage. Did you have the same issue?
No, I used a trim puller for the job. The clips are replaceable if you break one
@@zjcf22 Thanks. I see you only have three bolts removed and the rest just pull the panel? I have 2018 with the screenshade.
@@zjcf22 I just found a forum www.pacificaforums.com/threads/sliding-doors-open-when-locked-diy-fix.45045/ that seems to match your video instruction. I will give it a try. Thank you for your video.
Thanks for the video, I’ve had mine at Chrysler 7 times under warranty and they couldn’t fix it. I’ll give this a try, my next move was exorcism with a Catholic priest. th-cam.com/video/RwmPmWyRncI/w-d-xo.html
Has the tape held up? My 2017 has had this issue since I bought it new, seems to happen more frequently when I wash it or when it rains. I’ll need to check the wires. Chrysler was never able to fix it after bringing it in 7 times before the warranty was up. I’ll never buy another FCA product.
Not well, broken links ultimately need to be replaced. I replaced the whole harness in another video. We have only had this happen once so far.
Sweet. We have a 2018 Touring L, but I had this same issue on the 2005 Grand Caravan we had... such progress! 🤣
Thanks for the tutorial. Great explanation, easy to follow.
Not very impress with Chrysler at the moment
Lots of problems with 2017 and up Pacificas..sliding doors issues, adaptive transmission software feels like getting rear ended are the main ones
^^^true story
Great detailed video. Thank you for taking your time to share this!
Thank you--Hope you found it useful!
I’m having a problem where the sliding doors won’t latch closed for several attempts. Have you experienced that?? I have a 2018 Touring Plus.
Yes, it gets almost closed and then beeps and opens...this still happens occasionally even with the patch to the articulating cable tray. Same problem you are having?
@@zjcf22 Mine does the same thing is there a fix for this? The dealer said it isn't covered by warranty because they said it needs to be recalibrated B.S.
