An Eerie, Misty Morning In Penzance & Newlyn, Cornwall, UK
On my way to film the Bluefin Tuna at Lands End I decided to see what Penzance and Newlyn were like shrouded in the early morning mist that had crept in overnight. I've never seen Penzance so misty.
Great start to the day.

What's St Mawes Like At The End Of Summer? It was one of the best late-summer days we’d experienced in a while. We visited St. Mawes (somewhere I would never venture in high summer because it is way too busy), and on the way back, we stopped at the picturesque St. Just in Roseland. A truly great day. I hope you enjoy my video. To learn more about my adventures around Cornwall, please visit my w...

Kenidjack Valley is a truly stunning location. I love the walk through the valley past the derelict mining buildings and on to the spectacular coast with the amazing view towards Cape Cornwall. #kenidjackvalley #stjust #cornwall It's particularly stunning in the summer but i enjoy visiting at any time of year. I've pencilled in a visit next time we have a big storm as I bet it is a great place ...

You can't beat St Ives on a sunny day. It was pretty windy but that just adds to the drama when you get out onto the exposed coastline. It's nice to see everyone enjoying themselves in the sunshine which doesn't always make an appearance during the summer months. #stives #cornwall I hope you enjoy my video. Lovely. What a festive treat from beautiful St Ives. I believe it gets quite crazy near the Sloop Inn and Fore Street on New Years Eve.
it's has got the best vibes in Mullion:-)

Thank you for this. I've just bought a Brompton Electric and can't wait to do this ride next year. Probably from St Mickies mount as the cycle track is now open. Best way to explore Cornwall is on 2 wheels. I live in South Wales but I was born in Hayle, another place I can't wait to explore on 2 wheels, especially the Saltings.
Absolutely love this ❤
Glad you enjoyed the footage. I’ve spent hours filming them. Still got loads more to publish. It’s mesmerising watching them. Sometimes they breach very close to the shore. Managed to get some great drone footage. Cheers.
I didn’t know you could get these of Cornwall I wanted to catch one all my life
Thanks for watching. They have recently returned to our waters in the last few years. I’ve got loads more footage of them. A friend of a friend landed an 11 footer after a two hour battle. Cheers
Gorgeous Cornwall but this place is a dump.
Best time for the locals to get their town back. No tourists
I love visiting coastline towns and villages after high season. They are adorabe ❤
Does the name really come from "a mouse hole"? A tiny town. Ideal for a walk and the coast villages and towns are so picturesque.
Hi, it's actually pronounced 'Mowzel'. There's lots of different stories about how Mousehole got it's name. Here's an interesting short article about it www.aspects-holidays.co.uk/blog/places-to-visit/a-history-of-mousehole
Doomed. Poor Fish
Only if they catch em...
We got the tail of the usa Florida hurricane
That looks like a very high tide, you don't want to get in the way of the debris being thrown up either. Those people shouldn't be running close to the waves even though they're behind the barrier, they both look like they'd be hospital patients if they were knocked over by the water & certainly if hit by some debris. Hope no damage is done to property. Thank you for sharing but hopefully it'll calm down out there.
Yes, it was a very high tide and with the added power of the wind behind those waves it was definitely not very sensible standing in front of a wall of water like that but they managed to live to tell the tale. There were lots of large stones and seaweed being thrown up. The road was littered with debris. The Coastguard shut the road at one point. Cheers.
Wow, i didn't know this happened in UK waters!
Yep, it's been like this for the last three years or so; well. that's as long as i've been filming them off Lands End at this time of year. It's great to see them back in Cornish waters. Thanks for watching.
This is absolutely beautiful.
Thank you and thanks for watching.
Beautiful but ... when is the best time to come to visit this place and some other in Cornwall, between September and June? Great videos. Watching from Poland. The Baltic Sea is stormy at this time of the year, too.
July/August is really the peak of Summer in Cornwall, though it can be hot and sunny a month either side of that. The weather is unpredictable though, being right on the edge of the Atlantic ocean, and we do get some wet summers.
Thanks for watching from Poland! I visited Krakow a few years ago and had a great time. If you want 'decent' weather it seems to be good around May, June, September and October. August is nearly always wet. Today for instance was an absolutely beautiful day, it felt like summer had returned.
@@JVsCornwallThank you❤Please come to Poland and visit more places, towns and nature. More and more Brits come to live and work here and have vlogs like yours where they travel in Poland and recommend places.
@@oldboy5001Thank you❤I like all types of weather but if you go to the seaside and it's rainy and/or foggy you can't even see the sea from the cliffs. I was at the Land's End with an organized tour across the UK in July 2022 and after a half an hour of light rain, the fog covered all the view over the sea😢
Amazing footage ❤
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
Fantastic!!!
Many thanks!
Can you explore marizion plss
Yep, certainly will. I live very close by. Thanks for watching.
At last!...a St.Ives walk-around without irritating mug shots and inane gabble. Beautifully shot with great camera work and imaging...THIS is the St.Ives that should be seen..how do I know?..I lived the town for decades and I've seen every side of it....and most of the poor vids. Well done.
Many thanks for your kind comment. I really try and let the places, scenery and wildlife do the talking; using the actual ambient sound where possible. Many thanks for watching!
@@JVsCornwall 9/10...as a Lecturer I never gave 10/10.....it stopped students trying! Your technique is so disarmingly simple it's amazing why so many walk-rounders don't copy it...keep it up....but don't change it!
Many thanks. Comments like this keep me going out there and filming. Sometimes you look around at some of the Cornwall based channels getting thousands and thousands of views per video and you wander what you are doing wrong but I work on the 'band discovery' theory. Sometimes when people discover a new band they go back and buy their previous albums so i'm hoping that when people discover my channel they go back and watch some of my old videos which boosts my monthly watch rate and gives me an extra few pence in revenue. I doubt this will ever become a full time gig but you never know. All the best.
This beautiful I love to live here with mom and children
Absolutely beautiful.
Thank you! Cheers!
Quite a bit of activity for an early morning, lovely way to start the day walking around while it's still peaceful. Nice time of year.
Glad you enjoyed my vid, thanks for watching.
Love this part of the coast…bosigran, gurnards, carnelloe and zennor….amazing views….im working my way round the coast to st Ives in the next few months..
Beautiful!
Looks wonderful. Those early mornings make us feel as though we have St Ives all to ourselves. There's always a different feel about St Ives in September compared to May. It's like the Autumn is slowly creeping in.
Thanks for watching. I love wandering around St Ives first thing while it is quiet. Autumn is definitely on the way now. I love all seasons in Cornwall. Just waiting for the Bluefin Tuna and Whales to turn up again. Cheers. JV
@@JVsCornwall 😃😃😃😃
JV, stunning as always. And this is how it should be done. Not there this year, but hopefully will visit next Spring/Summer.
Cheers. Glad you enjoyed my video. St Ives is a lot quieter now, I can actually find a parking space :-) All the best. JV

Beautiful part of the world, ill be there again on thursday
Reminds me of the 45 years I lived in the West Country.
@@redcampion1928A slightly intrusive question, but okay. My partner, who had been gravely ill for a year and who was not expected to live for much longer, wanted to move to Lancashire, the place they had been happiest in their younger years. It was a wrench for me but I am glad we did it, even though my partner died only six weeks after the move. Satisfied?
One of the best short drives in England it deserves more credit . Also brings back lots of happy memories climbing Zennor Hill whilst on holiday with family ,the view is fantastic.
Yes, I love this drive. Last time I did it recently I had to wait patiently for the wild ponies to take their sweet time crossing the road. Cheers. JV
penzance is a boarded up shit hole
The place is on the market again. The estate agent's info suggests that the location is incredibly isolated. It doesn't mention the fact that there are almost always walkers and sightseers on the top of that hill so the house is always overlooked (except during the frequent gales and rainstorms). And there's a constant trickle of Crowley followers up there just for the house. And there's the occasional motocross biker too. It's yours for £2 million. Quite a price for a windswept two bedroom house with no roof and no road (and no water and no electricity).
Wow, £2 million. I think i'd rather spent that kind of money somewhere like Carbis Bay. All the best. JV
I am Japanese and I came to this lovely town to experience the nature and the elegance of this lovely garden however my two sons Raymond and Donald were a bit bored so I had to take them Home hope you had a good time unlike me
I'm sorry your trip to the garden didn't go as planned. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I hope the rest of your time in Cornwall was more enjoyable. My wife and I spent a few weeks travelling around Japan 6 years ago, it was a fantastic experience, especially if you are a big Godzilla fan like me. All the best. JV
Boodiful
I have an original oil painting of ths wonderful church hanging in our lounge at home, thanks for the video.
I can understand why someone would want to paint the beautiful setting that the church is in, it is very picturesque. Thanks for watching my video. Cheers
Man listen, the danger here is so imminent
JV, I missed this one. Visited Tresco last Summer and the weather was perfect, a photographers dream. But you know it's my ultimate nightmare to board The Scillonian on a cloudy overcast day and to arrive in such conditions. It hasn't happened yet. Living in London I only get the chance to visit the Islands once maybe twice a year. Lucky you being local.
Hi, thanks for watching my video. It's definitely pot luck weather wise. We've been fairly lucky so far. As long as it's not chucking it down with rain on a day trip I don't mind. Bryher is so beautiful, we want to go back soon and stay but it is very expensive. I spent 17 years in London, can't say I miss big city life. I could never live anywhere again where I couldn't see the horizon. All the best, cheers.
@@JVsCornwall Thanks JV. Have been offline for weeks now...changing internet providers. But looking forward to a Tresco or St Martin's video in the future.
Greta views of Brier, allowing the beauty speak for itself! No commentary needed! My family arrive tomorrow for 2 wks. I was lucky to spend 2 wks last year and you really captured the feel of the island. Well done and thank you!
Thanks for watching my video. 2 weeks on Bryher sounds like a dream, we are planning a trip back soon. We were planning on going over on the new ferry but that's not going to happen now it's been completely cancelled. All the best.
Those are called rock goby we see them lots down there.
Rest in peace Aleister Crowley. Ra Moor khvit. Lucifer. Nvit. Hadit. Chaos. Babaloon.
Is that the boleskin house in Scotland?
No, it's in Zennor, Cornwall. Cheers.
@@JVsCornwallthen why did you write Aleister Crowley's house in the description?
never been to mullion i could of went over around 15 years ago and counting the cove still awaits me was going to this land this summer but not now so see you wen i see you
Beautifully shot thank you! I lived in Boscastle in the 90s and used to walk the coast path to Tintagel and then return inland via St. Nectan's Glen. It wasn't commercialized then and very peaceful. My neighbour had a cat called Oliver who used to walk the 5.5 mile coast path to Tintagel, where people would feed him. Local legend!
Thanks for watching. That walk sounds fantastic. I love Boscastle, Tintagel and St Nectans Glen, it's a very special part of Cornwall. Cheers.
The most wonderful place on earth. Spent my childhood holidays here ❤
