Track 7 from Sunfish Holy Breakfast. My favourite song.
i used to mistake this song for the beatles
All the Painters' albums are gorgeous Mark is himself a wonder it's like a shame as the music he makes actually's nothing compared
This song gives Mazzy Star's "Fade Into You" a run for its money
I’m so tired of all people complaining it sounds like Mazzy Star, it’s two completely different songs with different chord progressions that sounds a bit similar with the slide guitar. it’s two incredibly good songs and stop complaining about it! I’m a musician and every chord progression there is have been used thousands of times in various different songs, that doesn’t mean it’s a rip off!
so you are a crappy musician. because it's obvious that these two songs are extremely similar harmonically. but it's okay.
cigarettes after sex wish they could
Llegue a esta canción y solo tarareándola en google jajaja te amo google
It’s very impressive how many songs “The Girl Next Door” brought to all of us. That movie, which was strange in some aspects, left a before and after in the memories of millennials
Never seen it! Red house painters ROCK since my childhood!❤
Luego de mucho años aun te escucho y me encantas
this brings me back to '99. I'd just moved to NY and listened to this album a lot
This song fits so much better when you’ve known pain.
i wish this was on spotify
Yes, me too.
It is
@@willrobin5271 Not this version, sadly.. :(
@willrobin5271 no it isn’t?
@@Erik_AhlI literally went and listened to it. Go check
This song hits home so freaking hard.
Wish the ending solo was longer
fade into you...
My mother passed away 10 years ago. She told me once that this song is one of the most beautiful songs ever made. I'll tell my kids the same.
she had a great taste
Mazzy Star- Fade Into You is better. This song seems to be a complete rip off of that.
Your mother has a good taste in music
Lyrics When everything we felt fails Then some music, soft and distant sails But it don't sound like it did before Then I know I'm left with nothing more Then my own soul When pretty pictures face back But your coats aren't hanging on the rack And blue water turns to A place that I can't get to A place that I can't In a room all I feel Is the cold that you left Through the air all I see Is your face full of blame What's left to see? What's there to see? In the room all I feel Is the cold that you left Through the air all I see Is your face full of blame What's left to see? What's left to see? What's left to see? What's left to see?
It's really stunning. This album gets very little comment. I love the comparisons with Mazzy Star, and even I am hard pressed to say which song I love most.
Remember when they were called The Beatles?
Sonoridade deliciosa❤
why they change the original video?
This and Jason Molina just all you need for a sulky day
Is "fade into you" by Mazzy Star inspired by this? they seem to be almost the same song except for the lyrics and some arrangements.
Yep mazzy probably ripped it off
@@SunnyvaleTrailerParkSupervisorcan you actually make use of your brain capacity, mazzy star released fade into you first 3 years before RHP released songs for a blue guitar. ignorant turd
It is one of the most amazing rip offs I ever heard. Thank you Mazzy Star for creating the amazing music that inspired this one and that Red House Painters never credited.
❤ for the quality as an aphrodisiac, 😂 suggest fertility, and emphasise her 🎉 fecundity and sexuality.
I recently started to see her in my dreams again. Night after night, as I lay down on my bed, tired and exhausted, I prepare myself to meet her again. So, I gently close my eyes and put a smile on my face, just like I used to do when I was waiting for her to come out of her house, and I heard her door opening. I miss you so much, there won't ever be a girl so special like you.
Mazzy Star - Fade into you
I can't believe how beautiful this song is. It seems like it would be impossible to write a song this beautiful.
Such a beautiful song and gorgeous duet. Thank you.
Does Anyone have Cigarette or Drink or Jukebox Classic Thanks very Much
Pain can be beautiful
The melody reminds me of Mazzy Star’s “Fade into you,” but has its own resonance. Just as beautiful though, & just as sad.
this song reminds me of my Ma. rest easy Gladys. me and my brother miss you
This song hits right at home.
Samimiyet, doğruluk, adalet, iyilik .
Emotion runs over you and you freeze to experience each word and every note...
Only discovered RHP/Sun Kil Moon recently and annoyingly this entire album has been removed from Spotify here in the UK :( Love this song
Sounds a lot like Mazzy Star
Great song. That fantastic line about “if you could be anything that you want to be do you think that it would be who you see in the mirror?” It’s so truthful, that even if we’re happy and content with our lives, there’s alwYs some regret and we sometimes can’t help but wish that maybe some things were different. Pollard is such a great lyricist.
Sounds oddly to close to fade into you
Just Shazamed this masterpiece on 'The girl next door' I feel blessed I found this song. It's pure beauty 😍
same aha
I fookin love this song
This song makes me sad, nostalgic, psychedelic, and hopeful at the same time.
BROO!! SOMEONE PLEASE UPLOAD IT TO THE SPOTIFY!! NOWW!!!
Other songs for blue guitars: Gregory Alan Isakov - Amsterdam Barzin - Past All Concerns
I heard one of their songs in the old Alicia Silverstone flick Excess Baggage. Thank you movie Gods! How could I ever forget RHP?they got me thru so many rough times.
Had been looking for this band. Oh shit but the song is so sad...😒
I always come back to this song. It's not reinventing the wheel or anything, but it's absolutely beautiful even if I don't pay attention to the lyrics (which is easier for non english people). Today I read pitchfork and Rolling Stones reviews and what strikes me as odd is that they don't even mention this song, it's practically the title track.
Why do I start crying whenever I hear this song? Is it the melody, chords, lyrics,or my imagination?
yes.
Its because bobby de keyzer parts in quasi
i’m sorry
I’d say this is one of their best songs…yet they’re all so good!
