Doraos is a thin client software that supports the transformation of old x86 computers into professional thin client systems.
Doraos supports desktop connections such as deskpool, RDP, spice, ovirt, Citrix receiver, VMware view and Huawei HDP.

I recently installed proxmox 8.1 and deskpool. I did a Windows 10 and 11 template and a test pool of 5 vm. It is is running on a X99 with a 16 core Xeon with 64GB. I activated the 25 user license. Sadly Deskpool is a dead project with zero response from deskpool or their parent company.
Sad but good to know.
This is a real bummer to hear. With VMware going the way of Broadcom, and Broadcom effectively EOL'ing Horizon View, I'm looking for a solution at work. Deskpool looked really interesting.
Do I undestand correctly, that after 30 days free period I can still use RDP connection?
Did you tested it? RDP worked after 30 days or not?
@@ALLYOUNEEDTOKNOW90 Yes, I have tested after 30 days and in my case Dora was unusable, so I have installed on old iMac Tiny Windows with RDP Client. Works great and I do not hear any complaints. :-)
@@mmirx have you manually made this os tiny windows with RDP client or you got it from internet?
@@ALLYOUNEEDTOKNOW90 From Internet (Tiny Windows 11 23H2) and after installation I have used my Winsows 10 license key. Works fine and fast on iMac 2008. Display in this Mac is still great.

How many fps can it give in triple A games?
I wouldn't try it if it's a competitive game. Epic and Steam have been known to perma ban people they found to use vms to game with. I would start with emulators or old offline games 1st, and then do research as to which game seems to have less issues with vm gaming. But to answer your question, it depends on the specs the host vm is running on, the amount of ram, and the vgpu being passed into. (A full 4090 RTX passed through is gonna do better than a 1050 natively still.)

is it possible to add a static ip in deskpool? my network does not have dhcp and my proxmox server has a static ip.
Deskpool support static IP. You can config static in the pool.
