is the original high handlebar?
Lovely
There’s now lots of extras from different suppliers. Bigger screens , top box’s . Even panniers etc . If I had the money I’d get one . I live on an island , your lucky to get to 50 let alone 70 ( we have onedaul carriage way 1/4 mile long and no motorways . But lots of great back lane twistys. Go round it and it’s just over 36 miles 😊 . Turn right your in the sea 😂😂. Would be a great choice . Reference locking up , how about the rear wheel area or chain through the foot well + when it’s parked the side stand automatically locks when turned off . Yes I’d get one .
Series 2 mate
Picked up a barn find 1971 R75/5 last year. Cleaned the carbs, fixed some bodged electric issues, and its running. Just waiting for warm weather now.
Marvelous BMW r100tic, love that blue color two, and very original, and airhead that has not been ''bastardised'' I am looking for a r100 Airhead or a GS, now, I am 53 yares of age and done all my ''Racing about'' on my other motorbike's... The Air Head's are a marvelous Classic afordable ''all rounder'' bike to have.... My father baught the ''r900s'' in Egg yolke color in 76/77? which he changed for his one yare old ''brand new'' Red Benelli sei 750? me and my two brothers were disgusted 😰🤬/😅.... Then in 84' my father got an r100 in black and silver, when you ''are young'' you do not see the beauty in them, but now they relly do make sense... I liked the GS range of BMW's since I saw the 1984/85 with the Dakar Rally Campion wins of the rider ''Gaston Raiher'' and the works BMW ''HPN'' R80GS which was the bike that hooked me with BMW Airheads, and specially with the HPN Sport, build's wich were a Rally raid's built Airheads...The wone I wold like to get now is the r100rt..? in the ''Red and Black'' color, with no fairng or just the bikini top... I must admit I voted for ''Remain'' in the UK and I think that the motorbike's built in Europe, together with American Motorcycles are the best over all motorbikes to collect, ther so much more interesting than the Japanise bikes, excep? the Kawasaki KH triple two stroker's and the MX 500 's and sum other two srokers two, and I incude ''most'' of the Engilish bikes... I enjoy you veues, values and aproches to life, while riding your Iron steed's, and a Motorcicle is a good therapy two ''a Motor Head's view'' of life related to my vew's'' somthing my mother and other famly members do not see ''or have no'' interest in what I have to say.
You .. ALWAYS own.. your problems.. beit of your making or NOT.. it's you that carries the can at the end of it.. the trick .. to retain sanity is accepting it.. & having strategies that let you leave them behind & learnt from it.. I got there looong ago.. colonists🙏👌💪
I dare say you & your R100 are like an old pair of shoes.. analog bikes are more me too.. sorta.. caught your channel on your FZR.. interested to see your bike history & current.. I dry my bikes & cars garden vac/blower works mmmwwa!.. 36yrs off bikes & few retirement constraints getting back to it & the tech is sooo soooo different to my 78z1r & 900ss last bikes.. cheers for the channel 👌🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿 It's called.. buying decisions .. economic sustainability .. we at the bottom of the fiscal heap will NEVER have capacity to understand new vehicle depreciation .. other than good common sense understanding "market forces" .. the bigger the new bike hit on resell reflects that market segments shift vs the volume of like machines vs buyers .. it's a simple self balancing regulatory force.. I've had clients that to this day.. money ISN'T a consideration with buying things they just want.. it's what money's for.. you CAN'T save money.. it's for spending.. eventually.. & the longer you (try) save it the less it'll buy for you.. so !
Great bike Bought the RT new in 1989, Kept her 10 years, I loved it a lot. I'm looking to buy one of them again now
If my CE-04 is out if service for 30 days, as its in the repair shop, I'm filing for arbitration to get out of it
Im about to pull the trigger on one but your video solidified it. Im headed up to BMW today. Early Christmas present for myself.
12k is way too much , but is nice to commute for sure however you need full motorcycle license ,most people are on 125cc as is more friendly way cheaper ,practice and just need CBT
🏍👍👍
30000 km di puro piacere ❤❤top il mio bmw ce04😊
Nice, simple bike and, for me, better than the RS to ride. I’ve had RTs, RSs, a T and still have a Mystic. Yours has the lighter flywheel and snappier throttle response and way better brakes than the earlier ATEs. Carb balance is crucial to smooth running in my experience. The standard generators are marginal at best and why I never put on heated grips. Did you upgrade? Great to see this one intact.
This bike was a lovely bike! Should be a good one as it’s my old bike and I maintained well and looked after it. Glad you’re enjoying it. I’ve still got a r100rs and it’s for sale!!
What year is it? Thx
I’ve been going there since 2019 and they are young but not cocky and really helpful Friendly and knowledgeable. A great place to get your bike sorted plus a phenomenal cleaning service. 👍👍👍👍👍
Very similar to my R90S which I rode from 1975-1978.
Извините но он нафиг не нужен за такие деньги
The same to me. Over 8000km of fun like no bike before. (11 bikes, up to 100hp / 1000cc).
I absolutely adore my 2022 CE-04. It is the best thing I ever bought! By the way, if you live in row housing and have a walk to your front door, just plug it in at your house. Also, it is a city bike and not a touring machine.
Reminds me of my burnt orange ‘78 R100/7.
New buyers watch out for seized exup
How will I know if it’s seized
@@StaySmoked remove the three bolts and the Chrome cover. When you rev the engine you should be able to see the cables turning the valve. Or if the bike wont start, either grab the cables and see if they're free or put players right on the end of the valve and see if it turns.
@@StaySmoked pliers not players
This a common cause of lumpy running upto 4k? I think my 2001 might have this issue
Just remove it and reset the carbs
'promo sm'
Thanks for sending this in :D
You should show us the bike
Just waiting for the rear rim to come back and it will be the first thing done.
That looks like a full-power model with 40mm carbs . '81 or '82 ? Love these bikes , and you can pick one up for two grand
One of the better of the bikes I've had the pleasure of owning.
2 grand? In the states people are asking a minimal of 5 grand. Been looking for a while.
In the thirty years I lived in America I owned many airheads and often paid that kind of money . Now back in the UK and I'm finding that these bikes aren't as revered as they are in America . This is why so many are being WRECKED by fools building ghastly "scramblers" and "cafe racers" . @@ianbestor1528
I've been using Billys for a few years now, highly recommended. In fact i am just about to set off to take one of my bikes there for MOT
