Although HE/Tmr are promising, they are still falling short to new pots in some aspects. Another thing I do find an issue with these is that they still all rely on the ALPS design. This is where the whole purpose of experimenting with HE/TMR is for. And that is repair ability, replacement, and extended lifespan. I've use falcon/c&k now favor Union sticks for a long time. It does have a similar spring mechanism. The horizontal support does develop slop. And ever since Ginfull released there stick module I've used. Without much issues, the same can't be said about there sensor revisions. There tension/recenter mechanism still holds true. I've got a stick I just mount different sensor types on for over 2 years. When doing testing the Gulikit deformed within 3 hours of a regular play session. ---- One of the greater issues I have is the lack of proper calibration support from Microsoft. The lack of being able to lower the outer deadzone that is now being applied on all inputs after 5.21/5.22 firmware. That although causes jitter and dancing around of the inputs. Do to a change in how it handles power consumption for effort to conserve battery. This is completely eliminated with a firmware downgrade to factory firmware. 3.1 (1708), 4.8 (1914) You can do offline console updates on an old Xbox. And calibrate with 5.16-5.20 if you have the offline OSU. (I have a build from feb2024.) Those firmware don't have the filtering and circularity will calibrate to 3-5% higher range. That way there is no issues with undershoot affect gameplay. Also 5.23 gamepad firmware now has a built in- inner deadzone of 2-5% and most sensors including potentiometers calibrate to 2-6%. Almost eliminating diagnals while not using radial. Something I find really bad. I find that proper simmetry at 8%-10%min without maxing out 1-2mm before the edge. A range Microsoft was using on there gamepads for over a decade. I use LS21.5% RS 13% on manual calibration do to personal preference. I emplore more folks in the Xbox insider community to put pressure for right to repair. With new changes to be added on the Xbox calibration tool. Including support for older gamepad models. ---- Good video

What type of solder is it? I’ve tired modding it, and it didn’t work, I took it to my local game store who tired modding it and it couldn’t work, I tired doing it myself again and could work It mostly boils down to the solder NOT holding onto the mod chip, it constantly pops out and no mater how much solder I tired, it couldn’t stay on, I hope someone translates this video in English subtitles cuz I feel like I’m missing something and I’m frustrated that this mod chip isn’t working for me For those who succeeded PLEASE tell me how you did it, I feel like it’s the solder but I don’t really know, how do I keep this mod chip stick on the mother board
