👋 Hi, I’m Christopher, a passionate traveler and nature enthusiast living in NYC who's dedicated to capturing the sights and sounds of the city, small towns, and hiking trails.
All videos are recorded on location with binaural audio which will help you to have an asmr style experience in each place as if you were actually there.
Whether it's a coffee break, rain walk, walking tour, nature walk, relaxing sounds, ambient soundscapes, or an asmr experience you're looking for, you'll most likely find it here.
If you're wondering why there's a pigeon in my logo, it's because both my last name in Italian means pigeon and I was born and raised in NYC - home of the street puppy (pigeon).
Thanks for stopping by!

Taking a New York Walk During the 2024 Solar Eclipse in Long Island City, Queens with Manhattan skyline views during the 2024 event. Walking New York's Roosevelt Island (I've Never Seen These Before!)

I was hoping to catch the local Cherry Blossoms on Roosevelt Island in NYC but upon walking, it looks like they're still a few weeks away from blooming fully. I rarely get to walk to the northern tip of Roosevelt island to check out the light house so it was a nice, desolate moment that I found myself sitting at for a while after I stopped recording. Thanks a lot this is mesmerising. Such a surreal place.I wish I can visit ❤
Thanks for watching. Never say never. Some places I've wanted to visit took 10 years. It will happen!
That spot at min 34:40 little lake on right Is a great spot ..
There's so many cool hidden nooks in Central Park. I also like the tiny waterfall on the north end.
that opera part is so theatrical. starts with rain and women singing from far away. rain stops, a man laughs. low ambient lighting, then rain again.
One in a million chance of that happening. That day I was debating even going out because the weather was unsure of how much rain. Thankfully, it poured and I caught that beautiful moment.
Central Park has gotta be one of the best parks in the world. It’s a forest in the middle of the concrete jungle.
Agreed! On the skirts of the park, it still gets polluted with tons of city noise but in the middle, it's pretty quiet! Prospect Park is also nice as well as Inwood Hill Park at the northern tip of Manhattan.
Where's your favorite quiet nature spot?
Very nice. Thanks for taking us on your walk around. Like 12 from a new follower❤
Thanks for watching and hopefully in the future, I'll get a like 13!
We Love some vlogs too ❤
Love jersey
It's def changed since the last time I've been along the waterfront. Cleaned up, new buildings and apartments and condos everywhere.
@@coffeebreaksandsoundscapes change for best
It was windier than expected. Sorry if it's a bit annoying!
Wind can be a real b$%&#. 😅
@@FootstepsToNowhere 😂 The fn worst! It's easy to mitigate but impossible to get rid of.
@@coffeebreaksandsoundscapes Right? For binaural recording, I've been experimenting with different wind jamming options, but nothing has been great. So far, it seems that everything that effectively blocks the wind also compromises the sound.🥴 In the end, I’d rather live with some wind noise. ~Anyway, good job with this video (those views! 👀). Nature will always have the last laugh.
@@FootstepsToNowhere I mostly record binaural as well. Unsure what your setup is like but you can always try some Rycote Overcovers and then an extra layer of diffusion.
@@Christopher_P321 I’ll be sure to give the Overcovers a shot. We’re heading into winter, so they may just be seen as a winter fashion accessory while walking around. On several recent excursions, I have used the Soundman Windscreen, and it’s very meh. For non-binaural situations, I’m a Rycote fan, so I’m open to it. Thanks so much!
I like the panoramic view. Perhaps a bit slower on the spin? I got a bit disoriented a couple of times. But really enjoyed when you would stop and show the area. I'm from New Jersey. I live in CA now. It was nice to see the water. Thank you.
Agreed. Sometimes it's hard to tell if I'm panning too fast or too slow but will make a mental note to slow the pans down in the future. Thanks for the note and for watching. I miss CA. Haven't been there in ages!
( : MUCH BETTER : )
Amazing footage
Thank you kindly
I've gone back to minute 11, 100 times so far, just to listen the singing woman, please make a loop out of that part, I can listen to it for hours
Will add it to the list of things to do as I've been slacking on making more videos for the channel for a while. Will start up again soon. Thanks for the idea!
This is really beautiful. What camera/gimbal and microphone are you using?
iPhone and a mini handheld tripod using the stabilization built into the iphone.
I hope they said yes
It's been a while since I recorded this but from what I remember, I missed the proposal by a few minutes but they were standing near by and celebrating so I'd imagine it was most certainly a yes!
Beautiful park but how dangerous is it?
Eh. It's fine. In the 70's, 80s, and 90s it was pretty rough. These days, there's always something minor that happens but 95% of it is safe and perfectly fine all times of day and night.
Its raining here right now. Imagine that, watching a rain video, in the rain!
Double the fun! #pluviophile
@@coffeebreaksandsoundscapes Exactly!
@@Robbie-sk6vc Welp, you've made me miss the rain. I need to get back out and record some more walks next time it downpours.
@@coffeebreaksandsoundscapes Glad I can be inspiring! 😉
I love it ❤️⛈️☂️👍.
Hi, which mic & camera are you using in this video? Great shots :)
iPhone 11!
@@coffeebreaksandsoundscapes thanks! and mic? iphone mic?

Walking in the Central Park NYC is wonderful ,i like it ,but i hear ,it's ,thundery😮😢
Love NY. Thanks for sharing your walk, like 15 from new sub ❤️🙏
Thanks for the kinds words and welcome!
To anyone reading this, I hope that your pet dragon always breathe gentle flames and your unicorn never lose its sparkle. May your refrigerator always be stocked with infinite ice cream and your WiFi signal be eternally strong, even in the depths of your basement. May your spontaneous dance battles be epic and victorious, and may you always find a four-leaf clover in your salad. May your toaster never burn your toast, and may you always step on LEGO pieces that magically turn into marshmallows. Stay magical and keep believing in the power of rainbow-farting narwhals.

You're very welcome! I need to go out and film another rain walk video soon when it's raining and not so windy. Maybe in the forest to change it up a bit!
34:33 squirrel just chilling 😎
Nice part with the singing
Beautiful ! ❤ NYC. Thank you so much. DD from France 🇫🇷
Thanks for watching, DD. Hope to make it to France one day soon!
Spring in Central Park is always so lush and green!
Unfortunately, I didn't have the right gear to show the Solar Eclipse in all its glory. It was fun seeing the crowds of people, moody skies across the skyline, and TONS of dogs!
There is a cemetery in Chicago by Wrigley Fields that has a pyramid tomb just like that. Green door with snake handles. Probably a mason
Oh, interesting! I wonder if it is the same mason? Or perhaps it was a sought after style around the time it was created.
This is beautiful! Thank for for sharing
Thank you for watching! Happy to hear you enjoyed it.
Shout out from Brazil! My dream is live in NY, and this video made me feel like i was there❤
Happy to hear you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.
Thank you soooo very much for this visually beautiful and peacefully audible view of stunning Central Park ❤️ I've never been and am grateful for your allowing us to experience such an iconic space🙏
Glad you enjoyed it!
I swear I recognise the song the opera lady is singing from a movie or something. I can't for the life of me remember what it's called and it's really bothering me lol. Edit - I remembered. At first I thought it was from "Mother", but it turns out it's from "Antichrist" and the song is called "Lascia Ch'io Pianga".
Is that really where it's from? People have been asking since the video was posted and no one's been able to figure it out! I'm going to look for the piece now!
@@coffeebreaksandsoundscapesYes! That is truly where it's from. Of course, it has likely featured in other movies too, but it is definitely the prologue music from Antichrist.
@@WIGEEMAN99 Just checked out a few opera performances of it and you're 100% right. You're a hero! haha.
@@coffeebreaksandsoundscapes No problem, lol
I love the singing- it sounds so pristine - but i would never understand any word in opera style singing.
thanks for the video , Can you tell us why ,one part of the Cemetery has little to no Maintenance?
Thanks for watching! That's a good question. If I had to guess, I would say that it's one of the oldest, least traveled parts of the cemetery that no one really visits. Therefore, it lacks maintenance. That's just me making an assumption, though. I do plan on going back again soon so I'd be more than happy to ask to find a better answer!
Glad I got to see your video. I will become your fan.❤❤❤
Happy you got to watch it as well!
