Recuerdo mis últimos años de carrera, severamente deprimido, viviendo cada día para verlo terminar, empezando cada semana para esperar que terminara, esperando que pasaran las cosas pues había perdido casi en su absoluta totalidad el control sobre mi vida, mi futuro, mis estudios y mis sueños, muertos uno a uno por una serie de fracasos, mi tdah no diagnosticado. Cómo pesaba la culpa, oh como pesaba la culpa. La culpa siempre fue la moneda de cambio emocional en casa. Si pasaba algo horrible, el primer comentario SIEMPRE era "¿Quién lo hizo?", nunca un "¿Estás bien?" o "¿Qué pasó?" o "¿Cómo te sientes?". Un ciclo de dopamina dominaba mi vida entonces y esta canción al menos me daba suficiente para hacer cosas de mediana utilidad. Todo lo que medio logré fue en parte a esta canción, que escuchaba sin parar en esas largas madrugadas de tarea y exámenes en casa. Pensaba que no tenía identidad, pero esta canción me recuerda que sí la tenía y, aunque no era sana, era real y honesta. Amo eso que fui, a pesar de que no lograra, porque en vez de disociarse en la mentira tuvo el valor de vivir sumergido en la honestidad y florecer en emociones jamás antes experimentadas en la historia de la humanidad. Emociones que son imposibles de describir completamente, que son sólo para mi y que esta canción alimenta...
