The Vaudvillians live at Oasis Feb 9-13th Dr. Dan and Kitty Witless were put on ice in the Twenties, and had their entire music catalogue purloined by today's pop artists. Now the hottest act ever frozen alive is back again, with more swinging hits from their stolen songbook! There's only one problem: Kitty's “in a family way” and no one's quite sure where the kid came from. Can The Vaudevillia...

Back when Billie Hayes was still alive, I wrote him a letter to her with a picture with Margaret Hamilton, Paul Lynde and the rock band KISS. She told me in the letter that the picture brought her so much memories during the making of that tv special.

This is right up there with the _Star Wars Holiday Special._ It's amazing what several metric tons of coke could create on network television back in the 1970s.

I missed this in 1976. . . The skit was hilarious; particularly Margaret Hamilton's spoof of the wicked witch of the west. How all of them stayed in character is beyond me.

It would’ve been perfect if Agnes Moorhead was also on the show as Endora. But unfortunately, she has already died when this show was made in 1976. R.I.P.: To everyone on this part: Billie Hayes(Wichiepoo) Margaret Hamilton Betty White Paul Lynde And also Agnes Moorhead, my favorite witch of them all, who died in 1974.

I was born in 1978. I first saw a rerun of this in 1983! I love it! It has actress Margaret Hamilton who portrayed The Wicked Witch of the West from my favorite movie of all time the beloved, excellent, fantastic, magnificent and wonderful MGM classic 1939 fantasy musical movie The Wizard of Oz! It also has the very pretty and versatile actress Billie Hayes who portrayed Witchepoo in the classic Sid and Marty Krofft 1969 television show H.R. Pufnstuf and the genie in the classic 1971 Sid and Marty Krofft television show Lidsville. It also has the beloved, beautiful and wonderful actress Betty White and of course the very funny and handsome actor Paul Lynde. Thank you for posting and sharing this!

I want to go back and do it all over ....The 70’s and 80’s were my decades and they were the best years of my life. America was absolutely a different place back then. It was still a treat then to get 25 cents from mom and walk uptown to the gas station to get a Coca-Cola or Pepsi or to the ice cream shop and get a CMP ice cream. We truly did not lock our doors and stayed out till after dark with our bikes and on Halloween we all went trick-or-treating without our parents when we got older at night in the cold and it was great fun.. In the summer we played outside all day and all night, The only way my mom got us home to eat was a big brass bell she had outside the sliding glass doors that she would ring to get our attention to come home for dinner. I remember wonderful 4th of July celebrations going on picnics and then mom took us to the ball park and we laid on blankets to watch the fireworks. And of course Christmas and even though it was tuff for my mom raising us she always made sure we had a great holiday . Even Easter was special in America back then... as we got older we started to go see the movies and we really did have the best movies. Jaws, Close Encounters, , Raiders of the lost Ark, James bond, Star Wars, Star Trek, Aliens, Predator, planet of the apes, E.T, The terminator, The goonies, Friday the 13th, Batman, Back to the future . ...To name a few.....The TV show line up on the networks were fabulous ( this was before you got 500 channels like you do today and still nothing on is good) we had Dallas, knots Landing, Falcon crest, little house, The Waltons (No not the store that destroyed America). And every night of the week a network would compete and have for example, Monday night at the movies! Tuesday night at the movies ! and they would show a major movie release. We had real holidays were we all got together and enjoyed each other’s company. We ate dinner every night together and talked not shouted at each other. We had great stores that are all but gone now in 2023 and great movie theaters and of course the MALLS! It was not the 80’s without a Mall. My very first few jobs were at the mall. First Macdonald’s and then The Gap!. Yes sir those days were GREAT! and we were very lucky to have lived them .... today I don’t even see kids outside and everyone is in fear for safety from crazy people.... I don’t recognize America now..God Bless us all ! (If you can even say that anymore).

I watched the monstrosity when ABC aired it for the first and only time in 1976. I did enjoy seeing Margaret Hamilton as the wicked witch again, however. It possibly lay moldering, forgotten in ABC archives for decades. When it finally appeared on DVD, it was obvious that the master tape had not been used to produce this. It was thought to be long gone by this time. This is probably the case because the DVD appears to be mastered from someone's off-air VHS. Home video was just starting to become popular at this point. Anyway, after all these years I've had a chance to see it again. I am a fan of Paul Lynde, so I bought a copy. I watched it once. It's now collecting dust somewhere in my DVD collection.
