I am also having binding issues on my rear axle, it will bind about every 1.5 tire rotations.

Great video and a very capable truck you have , I’ve just finished upgrading mine and I really like it so much so I just bought the Defender and all the upgrades for it , I’m looking forward to getting them both out somewhere to do some crawling .
You need to fit the spacers to the four top links to change the angle of the axle , this will change the drive shaft angle so the drive shaft will be higher so less getting hung up , stay safe mate 🇬🇧
I’m have binding problem to the right got any ideas how to fix it.

Injora offers overdrive and under drive so they are a differnt amount of teeth

I like to use the lucas red and tacky as do a lot of people in the rc community and that grease you used looks pretty similar in consistency. I know that the axle housing isn't sealed or anything so im wondering do you get any kind of grease leakage out of the seam of the axel plate?

Not trying to bust any bubbles but the Injora are made out of Stainless steel vs Traxxas are aluminum, strength at this scale of both materials is pretty equal...there again the high clearance links do serve a bit of a clearance on different circumstances...it really comes down to personal preference on what you want your rig to look like. Just sharing my thoughts and helping the Hobby grow...keep up the hard work of putting out those videos ✌️🖖
Definitely getting the Injora ones, you can see the difference in clearance in the video. Hoping they're heavier too.
🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ the links themselves are high clearance. That's why they have the bend so they don't hang down below the frame rails. They don't lift the truck lol
If you put the spacers included with the links on the top ones, it angles the axles up and increases their clearance too.
@chris2097 exactly. But it messes with the steering caster angle if u put too many since there's no way to clock the caster blocks themselves YET. spacers on the lower links will stretch wheelbase if that's what you're after also. Just letting this guy know that the links dont actually lift the vehicle lol.
Good point about the steering... Will have to play with it too see how it changes. Just picked up the low range gear set today. Got the steel links and steel axles in the mail. Black brass on the steering and hubs already. Pretty sure this little thing now cost more than a full size TRX4 🤣
@chris2097 if you put more than like 2 spacers on the upper links you'll notice the caster angle wants to push the front end straight off obstacles when trying to turn on them. U want a little bit of camber to the steering at full lock to help keep the front tires planted. 2 spacers will have the tires pretty much level at full lock. On the bigger trucks u can clock the caster blocks back to compensate but I haven't seen any adjustable casters for these yet.
@@stayhooked4275just put them on. Settled on two on the top front and three on the top rear. Steering didn't change perceptibly between 0, 1 and 2 spacers, and decided not to try three... With two the universal joint on the driveshaft is tucked up nicely. Low range gears handle the extra weight nicely. (Almost everything is black brass or stainless underneath.

There's no need to trim the body just add a lift kit or remove the fenders. Those are the 64s right?

The higher clearance is GROUND CLEARANCE beween the suspension and the ground. It lets you get over larger obstacles. The bend in the Injora removes the straight diagonal seen on the Traxxas link.
I got the same rims and tires work awesome I also put the high clearance links in and it works well with those
I have the same rims as well, plus 10mm widened axle hubs. High clearance link arms, 2065r steering servo, Jo's rc shock mounts, hot racing mini 2.0 shocks, took off the black trim ring round the wheels.
You'll have to trim the bumpers next. I had to when I went wider. Also is it better for traction to run the tire tread opposite?

Have you had any problems with your stock front axle housing ?
Not really just the gears inside.. Once you upgrade your bearings and gears.. the axles should be solid.. i think the axle housing is good enough as it is.. i don’t see the gears or shafts rubbing on the housing..
The injora are stainless steel they don't need to be thicker
I thought the little spacers were to make links on top of the axle a little longer which then turns the axle to raise the driveshaft for slightly better clearance.

2mm by using some little spacers that are provided with the links, still that's a very minimal difference.. Until we get some aftermarket shock options with different lengths then we are going to see a higher clearance.
@@2.4Garage is that what those little o ring things are is spacers? Do they go between the link and ball head thingy?
