Yo. Appreciate your desire for perfection, too. I get maybe we can't hit that goal, BUT IT'S BECAUSE WE TRY TO HIT IT that we end up creating things that surprise the world. Yes, it should be kept in check, but don't get rid of it entirely. I "secretly" enjoy the fact that I look to perfect things. It's a fun improvement game for me. If perfection is necer reached, that's fine. Things will still be way better simply because we tried and kept trying. Also, another idea regarding what to do in hermit stage duribg 30's and 40's is to TRY TO BE AN ACTUAL HERMIT. Don't resist it. You're married and have 8 kids, that's fine, figure out a way to take alone time even if you have to work at it for years before you get a way to do that. In the beginning try taking just 15 minutes alone every day. Remember we did not always have cell phones, tell your spouse and kids you will have it turned off for your 15 minute alone time, then turn it off. Also also - the world will start asking us more and more, and there's an inner calling that gets louder and louder, pushing us to express ourselves and our ideas. Experiment with that. Any one of us could die before we reach 50, so balance the hermiting with expressing.
