Awesome Video. I just pulled my Sony x3000 out of my closest been sitting the last couple years collecting dust and was trying to decide if i should upgrade it or just keep it. really enjoyed your comparison and walking around talking about both of them. thx
If your X3000 is still working well. Keep it. There's still no alternate to it in the market unless you go 1" or above.

The Sony X3000 was way ahead of its time when it first came out. No wonder the stabilization is still top-notch today! As an owner, I highly recommend you don't just keep it on a shelf but pair it with a good audio setup like the DJI Mic 2. But hey, did I mention how awesome the audio on the X3000 already is? Haha!

You can lower the ev settings on the X3000 and it does make a difference i have mine set to -3 and it looks alot better

@@BuatNonton-n8t I havent had much of a chance to test it indoors but i would say setting it below 0 ev and and seeing if it looks good or not

I am still using and love my FDR-X3000. I occasionally use it with my OM5 cell phone gimbal. No need for DJI pocket 3.

I just watched Bald and Bankrupt with Backpacker Ben today in the same video with another vlogger. All three vlogers were using x3000. I'm thinking about getting one. I have GoPro 11, Pocket 2, and Go 3. The Gopro 11 is terrible. Always overheating and terrible stabilization unless you are in super bright sunlight.

Nice video! I'm trying to figure out what is the best sponge to use. I took some really cool footage yesterday but 99% of it is unusable because the wind was heavy. I cut sponge and put it over the mic but it didn't seem to help unfortunately
Any dish washing piece of foam works good 😂
@@johnnia That's what I used but the wind still obliterated my last vlog footage. I couldn't use most of it but I still made a video, you can check it out. My latest one, but I really need to figure out the sponge thing. I've seen people on the backs of mopeds vlogging with the x3000 with zero wind noise just using foam. I need some help man lol
@@MarcusBird it is very simple. Just a regular sponge cut it and make sure it cover the three dots in front.
@@johnnia You gotta give me some more credit Johnny lol that's what I did, it still didn't block the wind. I even cut two strips of the same sponge and put them over it and it didnt really block the wind noise so I'm not sure what's going on with that

Johnny hi! Question what tripod do you use with your camera? I have an X3000 and for me I still find it a bit shaky when i'm walking around (even with Action mode enabled) because the camera is so light. What I find odd is that almost all the video footage from TH-camrs is super smooth while they are walking around. Makes me think they are walking around with slightly heavier tripods to give it more balance but I'm not sure. Your video in this was super smooth hence me asking the question (btw i'm using a manfrotto mini).

@@johnnia Respect man! I just got mine so I'm shooting a few vlogs here and there with it. Your low light footage looks pretty good, might have to bump up my res to 4K for something (but 1080p 60 is so quick to edit)
@@MarcusBird here’s the thing at day time use it at 1080 24p 30p or 60p all fine. But at night try 4k 24p because low frame rates mean more light and 4k keeps the image a bit clear You can always render the mixed timeline in 4k if you’re using DaVinci Resolve. Hope it helps 🙂
@@johnnia Yeah definitely! I know that lower frame rate means better image I just didn't think of it recently since I got this camera. I usually shoot with a G7X which is a beast in all lighting conditions. What I like with the x3000 is a kind of 'ease of use' just moving around quickly and still getting good footage. Will be shooting 4K and night and seeing the vibe. Respect!
