Did you have to turn the water heater valve to winterize? We have that on our 2018 FC.

I use the compressed air method. One thing I've learned is to put a little air pressure in the fresh water tank filler to push water out the tank drain. After the tank has stopped gravity draining I can get an additional 3 gallons of water out of the tank with the compressed air. I just did a video on it. I was shocked the first time I did this.

Why the "ONE DAY" in caps? It's 21.5 hike or run, not the JMT. People who are actually fit are up and down that hill in 6-7 hours using the MT, even faster on the MR... 😉

Nice video guys. We plan on do Mount Whitney next year. Go do Big pine lakes. That's another nice trail with less elevation gain. And if you want easy but beautiful. Do little lakes Valley trail to Gem Lake. It's the best for scenery. Happy hiking

Thanks for sharing. We are going through similar issues right now. Ours has been at dealership for over 2 weeks and don't know when it will be started on. Airstream is not a premium travel trailer! It is just an iconic travel trailer that is totally over priced. Our door is like yours. Airstream brags about spending 8 hours to assemble one door that will not even close properly. We took a factory tour before purchasing our International 27FB Twin. While the tour was informative it has only increased my disappointment in the brand. We where expecting a better travel trailer that our first Forest River brand. Safe travels.

26 lbs. is waay too much for one day. Lack of sleep and junk food don't help the hit and miss altitude sickness. Congrats on soldering on and I know the feeling of being on the summit and all you want is down lower, to hopefully feel less bad!

Keep in mind that any trailer is not a sticks & bricks home. Think of experiencing an earthquake each time you move the rig. Our Airstreams are pretty amazing although they are really just a glamorous shell of a tent with some nice amenities. Certain things have to be treated gingerly as you’d have to do with a soft tent. You will learn quickly what treats you well if you treat them carefully. Don’t be discouraged.

Nice vlog! I'm doing the hike on September 7th this year, and I'm pretty excited. Definitely looked like y'all experienced altitude sickness. I'm nervous about that as well. I read that if you over-hydrate yourself the day before and the day of hiking it helps significantly, but from what I've read it sometimes just hits anyway... Taking Ibuprofen and/or Diamox might also help so I might see if my doc can prescribe me Diamox for the day of the hike to avoid altitude sickness. Did y'all carry a water filter (Sawyer Squeeze or Ketadyn water flask) for the water streams?

Most RV manufactures make RV mechanics out of their owners. A good hardware store, a good set of tools and the freedom to up-grade cabinet latches and upgrade both the size and number of fasteners will make a better RV experience for you

What gave ME the confidence is the price versus the price of real estate. I have A/C, a furnace, microwave, stove, fridge, fan, shower, queen bed, table, sink, toilet, storage, solar, a generator, (half length) closet, and a (too small) freezer.

I love biscayne probe one of the best places to go sea kayaking in Florida but the park it’s just so inaccessible for the regular public unless you have a water craft or pay for the expensive boat tours at the visitor center. Like 90% of the park is made of open water the rest being little undeveloped islands and smaller cays surrounded by thick mangrove forest

Well, the tickets to get into those places have tripled, gas and food have skyrocketed, and nobody can afford rent. They even took the good cheap vacations away…

Good. As we saw during the pandemic, people don’t know how to act in public. Nor do they know how to respect these beautifully preserved natural wonders. Less “visitors” less problems.

I want to go to Wind Cave, but they're rebuilding the elevator system and are not conducting tours, but I did see the visitor center.
