I could not find anyone who would demonstrate how or if you could use a basic moisture meter to do some of your own basic checks BEFORE calling a surveyor for boat. So I put this little demonstration together. I hope others find it useful. The meter I used was a General tools MMD7MP at $50

Regen braking. The 24vdc stays on so IGBT's still active. Stops in .8 seconds. If you lose plant power ect the 24vdc power supply has capacitor backup so the 24 vdc stays active for good 30 plus seconds. I can actually kill PDP panel and no motion .8 seconds.

FYI problem fixed... the boat had low hours but sat a lot. What I did is have him take boat out and we were able to keep at 2400RPM with out leaking. Drove for a few miles/hour or so. Then I had him start bumping up RPM while I went and watched below. Before I knew it we were up to 3400RPM no leaks. Basically I think we needed to rebreak in/seat in that carbon seal. He has put quite a few more hours on boat since then and told me all dry below.
Did you figure out the issue? Mine is doing the same thing. Only leaks under heavy load. New PSS maintenance kit, strut bushings, coupling aligned within .003”
