Well done for recording the performance. I think it is sad that stage performances are usually not recorded. The rights owners and the producers are badly misguided if they think that restricting recordings will encourage people to go to the theatre. The opposite is true! Seeing a video of a great stage production inspires me to see the show live. Theatres would get more people coming if shows were available to see on video. People don't stop going to football matches because they are shown on TV!

Wild to realize that as I started driving tonight and had this playing (audio only, wasn't watching) that when I started it, it was November 15th 2024, almost exactly to the minute of the anniversary of the last note in the video. Must have been the angel of music influencing me to listen

I saw many many people perform the Phantom in Toronto, New York, & the UK. Peter is by far the best person I ever saw perform the role. His roller coaster of emotion in this role is unmatched. He’s also a wonderful generous man. Great to find this video & relive his monumental performance as the Phantom.

Omg this is the Phantom that I had on a cd back in the day. I adored his voice ( loved that it was a baritone instead of tenor)and couldn’t figure out who it was. The stupid cd never gave details of the singers. I love his voice😊

First phantom I ever saw, way back in 2005 as a kid. I've seen several and many hold a special place for me, but I think, vocally, Gary has to be my favorite.
