Teaching Old Testament law in a modern context can be a challenge. Drs. Kelly and Watson emphasize the importance of understanding the broader principles behind the laws, such as holiness and purity, rather than focusing solely on specific commands. Well done Shane!!
There is an elephant in the parlor! There is no mention of the Quakers (Society of Friends), who publicly denounced slavery and even risked their lives by what they called the English persecution. Many Quakers were killed, tortured, and their houses burned down because they were abolitionists. What I see in Jonathan Edwards' debate on whether he was or not right for having slaves is an argument coming from the Church of England's approach to slavery. But what about those non-aligned Christian denominations like the Quakers and Amish Mennonites? They denounced Protestants' pro-slavery mentality, and consequently they were promoted to move to the West to avoid persecution. Did Edwards learn anything from the Quakers or Mennonites? Apparently, he did not! Then, instead of arguing about whether Edwards has the right to have slaves, we should be paying more attention to the teachings of those non-aligned movements because for sure Edwards did not fear the hands of an angry God.
This podcast is a true treasure. Thank you ❤
Very interesting and informative Bible study. Thank you!
Great insight from the discussions. Blessings
Rev is Gods judgmts on the corrupt 1st century Jews and their outdated sacrificial system n thei temple. All replaced by Christ n his church. It has very little to do with end of the world but end of old Jewish era or aeon that God used the Romans to destroy. Thats why we see words like soon, shortly, quickly, in ch 1-3, n 22. It all happened in that 1st century because the Jews had become like Babylon, and like Sodom n Egypt full of wickedness to the point of handing Christ over to the Romans. Rev covers the end of that old system and the beginning of the new era, the New Creation, the new heavens n earth established here in the earth on Pentecost. This makes it very easy to understand and is fuether enhanced by Mt 23&24, Mk 13, Lk 22 and is stated in all three that all these things spoken by Christ will come upon that 1st century generation, and it did, making the Lord s true prophet and not false ad has been declared by our enemies because of very bad exegesis of these words. Read n study carefully and stop propagating falsehoods as many so called scholars teach according to tradition n not the revealed word. Open many eyes Lord to the truth of the word.
Correction, Lk should be ch 21 not 22.
Dr. Adam Groza is a fantastic person and I have no doubt God will use him for big things!
2 and Adam and Eve too.
🤙🏼🤙🏼
From the start nonsense how does it require a later date, because of his presuppositions
Que saudades vou ter de vocês apesar de esta morando na Islândia para mim foi incrível estar congregando na lapa fui muito edificado pela sua vida meu amado pastor, Deus te abençoe um grande abraço. ❤
Suberb! Thank you for posting 👌
Great interview!
Great interview and sharing.
I appreciate this conversation so much! I asked these same questions while in a Women's study of Ephesians'. I was QUICKLY shut down. My questioning was strictly about his treatment of women. ALL women. All they could say was, "Sarah was a wonderful woman." What does that have to do with his family passing down "human property"? Ch.5 sin uncovered. ch.6. masters & bondservant. In my opinion, those verses would be the time to bring fourth the WHOLE character of man(Edwards). Since we were using his quotes. Yes, it was a different time. We can still learn to be vigilant. I cringe when hearing "baby/bathwater" comment. Confront the truth. Grow. I hope to grow Faithful. Amen.
This is brilliant.
This was a very helpful podcast on Isaiah! The historical context provided by Dr. Wegner was particularly helpful! Thank you for sharing this valuable knowledge!
Oh the wisdom of Pastor Roger as he teaches The Word of God ❤ So grateful to call him friend 🙏
Is it possible that the serpent ate the prohibited fruit in the garden, hence gaining the characteristic to be cunning and crafty?
Ooh, love that question! We'll ask Dr. Wegner!
"Interesting possibility and anything is possible, but since scripture does not tell us, it is just a guess. Sorry I can’t give a more definitive answer." -Dr. Wegner
Thank you from Ukraine.
We appreciate you watching and learning!
So good and helpful!
Outstanding dialogue gentlemen I studied under Dr. G IN 1992, LIFE CHANGING
I would suggest that if one assumes each day is a 24 hour day then not all days before and after the water fell would be the same due to the conservation of momentum.
Good video. Thank you from Ukraine. 🇺🇦
Can send me application form
Thk you! I am at SWBTS and this dialogue is wonderfully helpful and illuminating! God Bless.

Umpire Rob Drake declared he was going to buy a military assault rifle if malignant narcissist Trump was not re-elected. He declared there was going to be a civil war. It made the news. I think he should of been fired from MLB.
There is a culture of drinking alcohol at all levels of umpiring. It’s a trap.
Thanks for the video. It’s interesting how videos pop up on my You Tube. Ted came to Tucson with Jim Reynolds to be instructors when the owner of the umpire school was unable to come because of an emergency at home. Ted gave his time graciously to help out a friend. We were offered a refund as paying students but not one person took the offer. It was a treat to have Ted at our camp. His stories were interesting. His ability to teach amazing. A great umpire and even better man. God bless Ted Barrett in retirement.
Powerful rebuke with gentle instructions
Impossible to insert Jesus into the historical context of the syro-ephraimite confederacy and the Assyrian invasion when Hezekiah's victory is mentioned in the recapitulative of ch.37-38
Just got done praying about these things this morning n here is God's answer. God bless Pastor Spradling n the rest of us too.
❤
If you go to church on a Sunday, you are taking part in idolatry already. God's law is found in Exodus 20. Read it. Study it. This is the whole duty of man according to Ecclesiastes 12:13
An almah is never not a virgin . KJV only. And she is a young woman who is a virgin. Words were narrowed in around 300 BC. Even Jews know this. Almah in Isaiah 7 is virgin born my pal. It means no sex involved. And NT shows authority and says the texts applies to Mary. The promise was to the line of David n not to one man in Isaiah 7. The fact the child is God with us shows virginity.
What time does church begin this morning?
