Hi Everyone and welcome to the channel.
We're an Irish AFOL channel based in Dublin originally created to catalogue the building of a new Lego City in a spare room of our house. However, it quickly became apparent that we needed more space to build the type of city we wanted so we moved to a new building in the garden and started to build the city all over again! We're going to try and capture all of the building steps for the entire build on the channel.
My interest in Lego started at 7 years of age when I got set 7740, 12V Passenger Train as a present and trains are still a big part of my Lego hobby. I'm trying to automate the new layout as much as possible using Arduinos that I will code myself to control Lego motors and third party motors in 3D printed Lego compatible housings. As I am an electrician by trade, well, it only made sense to also wire the city for lights which we're trying to do as we go.
I hope you enjoy the videos and all comments and suggestions are welcome.

Now and Next in The Lego City 26 - Redesigning and reconfiguring the Lego City
Again, we haven't uploaded any videos for a while as we've been very busy in real life work! So, apologies to all our subscribers and hopefully we'll get back to posting more frequent updates soon. In this Lego City Update we look at all our future plans as well as how we finally finished the facade walls for Diagon Alley, have placed the Museum, Gringotts Bank and built some units for under the Lego Table.

มุมมอง 1.2Kปีที่แล้ว
So we've finally finished and settled on the roller coaster design! And here it is, the loop coaster MOC with a much taller tower and longer drop. We swapped the loops around and stabilised everything with new supports. The run time of the cars on the track has been increased by 50% also, it's now 6 seconds when previously it was only 4. All we need to do now is swap out the colours for the dar...

Lego City Update 38 - Landscaping Around The Railway Station
My problem is, I can't get the train to make it back to the lift chain, the middle car always stops at the corner of the platform closest to the lift chain
Now join in with the new city robot coaster and make a mega coaster
And look who his attic neighbors are
Thank you! Your fix worked like a charm 🙏🏻
Not fake. That’s like saying RC Cola is fake Coke… it’s just another company that makes carbonated caffeine rich soft drinks. Same goes for these plates. Be happy that there are other company’s (besides L) making building brick parts for less money.
How do you make sure you tie the dumb string right? I just knotted mine. They are tight but I’m not sure what I can do to make it more smooth without undoing it.
I bought mine used for $140 and I gotta say such an annoying set to play with. It looks beautiful on display, but I’ve seen the knock offs of this coaster floating around there are similar sets that just do more at way lower than this price. I’m happy I didn’t pay close to full price
Awesome!
Bonjour oui trouvé le rail gris cordialement
The song
You made a jojo refrence
yeah this was helpful but another problem im having is it gets stuck on the track itself, its not going the whole loop
Very nice
Hey there! I just found your channel and already watched a few of your videos and have noticed that the Cafe corner hasn’t changed. When is it going to be built?
Hi, thanks for the message! Honestly, I haven't fully decided on where I'm going to place the cafe Corner and I am easily distracted with other builds around the city. BUT, I will decide on where it's going and hopefully continue the build this year!
Looks great 👍
You have to put it at the right level😂
I'm fairly new to Lego but I got to say this is freaking brilliant!!! Easily one of the best MOCs that I've seen!
Thanks a million! Great to get the feedback.
Great city!!
I think you should make the head in white and the mouth plate in a light blue and make the hands in black
i added two more bricks to the counterweight and it was a great fix
Im having similar issues it keeps breaking apart loads and only had it line up and successfully complete the layout a few times mainly for me it breaks apart where you showed at the top and the big loop does aswell i can live with the breaking apart every 5 times round the track it does but its quite annoying having to push the train from the lift to the connecting track ill give this a go tho thanks
if it Jeeps working then keep it together but if it has a toi important issue on it or an issue you re incapable of fixing then i would sparte them to make two roller coasters seperate
I found out what the problem with this is and I can bet 99 percent of people here. The coaster needs to be put on a perfectly level table. When I moved it to my display table the weight would do same thing. I would move it back to my building table and it would work perfect. Finally I got a level and sure enough my display table was off by the slightest tiny tiny bit and that causes the counterweight to lean one way or the other. U can use this method but just realize it most likely your own fault.
I just discovered your channel and I really like your city. Looking forward to more updates.
Thanks a million! Appreciate the message.
Hi. It's my first time visiting your channel. I would like to just say how cool your roller-coaster is. It is so nice seeing you go beyond and incorporate it into your environment in such a creative way.
Thanks a million! It took a while but we're really happy with how it has all turned out
super fun setup
Looking class, keep up the good work
Great city! Will you tile the water in the future?
Hi, thanks! Yep, I'll be tiling all the water areas, hopefully this year we'll finish the port.
Deadly
i have the same problem. Indeed if you make all of the rotational parts loose, then the counterweight slams the top. Someone below suggested to tighten the wheels to increase the friction, but I don't think this would be a durable solution as it'll loosen over time. It'll also undoubtably put more wear on your lego pieces. My fix is this: I used a zip-tie around the vertical rail and the support column behind it. There's a convenient gap between the top and bottom (as seen in 0:45) of the support column that's bridged by the two L plates. Loop the zip-tie through the gap there and around the rail. This nicely solves two problems: 1) the zip-tie clamps the rail tightly to the support column, which as seen in your video tends to separate and 2) the counterwweight cannot move above the zip-tie, preventing the collision on top. Since the zip-tie is soft plastic, I would think most of the wear and tear of the collisions would be on the zip-tie and not on your precious lego pieces.
How does the car(s) grab the chain at the base of the incline??? I’m looking to modify/add an incline to my loop coaster.
Very nice setup! I am trying to copy your track but my carts won’t pass the top of the second bigger loop. Maybe you can help me out?
Thanks, yeah, it was difficult to get right. What I would suggest to check the alignment of the loops, I found if they were out of line by a millimetre, it wouldn't run right. It was a helluva lot of trial and error to get that right
Yeah I see.. Respect! Im trying for 2 days now and still hard to get it working. How you get the rails from the tower from half tiles (3 tile, 2 studs) to full tiles?
Sorry, I'm not sure I understand your question? But if you haven't checked out the final video, last video I uploaded a few weeks ago, it has the final design working properly and might help you out?
Yes I saw it today, so awesome!! I am trying to figure out what the stud diffrence is between the rails to get a good alignment. In the original set the track begins on half studs with the black round steering things. So I was wondering how you did your baseplate work with studs diffrence?
@sharkboy892 ah, now I understand. I will be back in the workshop tomorrow afternoon and I'll give you a definitive answer
My issue was the cars would not come off the lift. I increase the higth of the lift track by 1/3 brick. Add a couple bricks under the lift track to raise it up. Now no issues. My other problem was that it would not come back down. Have to remove weight from the counter weight.
Any updates coming soon? 🤔
Hi, yep, we've been busy building for the past few weeks and waiting on PAB orders which have finally arrived. There'll be updates shortly with the Museum, Avengers Tower, Gringotts and more!
100th like
I am going for three plates deep. Maybe three and a half to keep three baseplates for buildinvs and roads and then around the perimeter the train
Yeah, it's a struggle with any more to be honest!
@brictronic I also have a kid to think off. But currently the table is also in the middle of the room. So she can walk all sides. Most of the storage is below the table.
Hello, very nice MOC. Do you use all Lego pieces or some compatible ones too?
Thanks! I think the only non Lego piece if any in that MOC would be the baseplate.
Magnifique ❤
Très belle montage russe ❤
every time I add 203 links like the instructions say it seems like I have way to many on the coaster
U have a update on the corner, i like the idea with tree house, i also have a train and want to do a mini set up due to space
Wow nice city!
I’m buying the Loop today because I have the original coaster and immediately wanted to join it to the Loop when it came out. Keep it
Brilliant! ❤the workers! ...and the splash spur.
Cool 😎
Respect the work 😮💨
This hes turned out perfect, great design. 👍
Might be hard to do this. If I was painting the wall, I'd paint it light blue with some white clouda sponged on
Yeah, I'd like to do something like that all around the room but thinking it might be too late now
I got a shoutout 😌
It’s brighter and still looks Epic! 😀 I love what you’ve done and would definitely ride it!! ❤❤
Thanks Again!
