Oceanside is a fun place for metal detecting because you get a lot of beeps. It's usually trash but you never know. I found a big, fairly new iphone in the sand and was able to get it back to the owner Melinda. I'm starting to build up my metal detecting muscles.

Do you use discrimination at all? You could cherry pick the high numbers only, then go back and hit/dig the more junky (bottle caps/pull tabs) less desirable or high probability trash targets. Thanks for taking us along.
@@Detect-Oregon I have it on the preset park setting which discriminates against the low and negative numbers. Those bottle caps read the same as something potentially good so I gotta dig em!

Nice hunt with a variety of items found. I'm a bit surprised that you are not wearing gloves. Some of the pieces found looked very rusty. Wouldn't want to get cut by one of those items.

I have a weak spot for a lady with a detector. I mean isn’t most men’s dream to find a partner that shares the same hobby. A nice contrast from all the competitive male testosterone that spews from, “mines better then yours, or no so and so on this channel is wrong and doesn’t know what they’re talking about, this is the right and only way. It can be really exhausting, and it doesn’t take long for me to pivot from that sort of nonsense. Thanks for letting me drop by.

You might want to try La Jolla Shores Beach. It is on the other side of the pier to the south of where you were. Gets hunted a lot, but people do find nice pieces there.

In Lexington, the Newtown Pike on ramps to I-64, this happens a ton. Clearly visible signs that say no left turn (cause you missed the right turn that gets you on north bound). People stop here and pull illegal U-turns, that still don't put you in a position to get on north bound. It does get you in position to do ANOTHER illegal U-turn to attempt to get on north bound. Compounding stupid on top of stupid, which is really sad because there is an easy right turn to make and get turned around for easy access to the on ramps, legally.
