Not bad for a old man . John and Michael are impressed . They must be easily pleased.

Hello Phil, I've just discovered your channel and may I too say I'm an old man now at 77 years of age. I confess I've been wood turning since I was 65 years old and this is not intended to be a boast but I've built up a decent workshop. I should add that I also make small items of furniture. As I'm not a golfer, as many of my friends are, I guess I've spent as much money on machinery as they've spent on golf fees. Your turning is of a very high standard. Sapele is a very high quality wood which some consider is of a higher quality than mahogany as it gives off a beautiful sheen when polished. If I had your address I would happily send you some wood as I have more than enough to see me out.

Hi Phil, Simon Smith from Rochester, New York USA. I also am an old man who turns wood. Good luck with your new lathe! Turning is quite addictive😊

Hi, good job so far! I’ve turned quite a bit of sapele, I would advise you to wear a mask when turning and particularly when sanding, your lungs will thank you for it by the time you’ve finished all of those off cuts.
