Vegas should have never taken this incredible experience down! That was the city's downfall
Set a course for love ❤️!
I don’t like eating my food w Klingons !
This was a great idea ! It just wasn’t done right!
Tell Aphmau to come.
What about mcdonalds?
I remember going on this in 1998 on my first trip to Las Vegas
Dud says to his wife "You're pregnant get lost but I'm staying. Neener Neener".
Is anybody got footage of the end of Star Trek The Experience where it lands on the top of the Hilton?
If I ever stumble across a rift in the space-time continuum, I'd go back to 1998 and visit STTE again. I went there many times with my then teenage son......would so love to do that again.
If you do a Wikipedia search..... It opened in 2007 and closed in 2008...Lack of funding I am a big Star Trek fan and if i had the Money i would build it again....
I never got to see it in person sadly. Great video!
I had a great time at the Star Trek Las Vegas Experience
I Still Miss Star Trek The Experience In Las Vegas Hilton 😪😢😔😞
Went to Las Vegas for a work convention.. hated the whole atmosphere.. until we went here and I got to LIVE Star Trek for a day. So glad I went there before it was mothballed. Went around 2002.
I wish I could have gone to the star Trek experience it looks AMAZING.
I want this Star Trek Park in France !!
The 'Wrap of Kahn' was glorious... And as a big fan if onion rings the 'Rings of Betazoid' were great to. I bought a Tribble there in 2000. 22 years ago....STILL WORKS!
If only my family was rich….

never had a chance to go but damn
There's a backstage tour on the entire ride mechanics, you should watch it.
It was next level awesome. You could spend hours there looking & reading, dining at Quarks, shopping, even having drinks at the adjacent "Space Bar". They had an overhead screen that would replay the most inspirational oratory scenes from all the Trek series; it was like... magic. Something we'll never have again.
Those overhead screens and the music that was played during each scene was a hugely inspirational aspect of The Experience to me.
YES , the 1990s were the 2nd Golden Age of Star Trek
I briefly worked in Vegas for a week or so 20 years ago. I rode this ride several times during that time. It and the Bellagio Art Museum are the only things I enjoyed during my stay in Vegas.
I'm really starting to hate CBS more and more. I'm starting to lose count how many times CBS screwed over Star Trek fans.
I tear up seeing April almost break her Vulcan character. It was a magical place.
Simply the best Star Trek experience to be had. Still have my Romulan Ale and Klingon Baseball shirt 🖖
The Star Trek experience is sadly boldly gone.
So sad. I am seriously angry at the guy at paramount who didn't build the entire ship.
One day we'll get there. We all hope.
Kinda sad when you put you're heart into your work. It can be really emotional
i remember when my father (god bless his soul in heaven) took me there when i was 12. Great memories.
I was so sad when I heard Star Trek The Experience had been shut down. I was there back when they still had the Klingon Encounter. Unfortunately, I never made it back to Las Vegas to check out the Borg Invasion 4D. My ex and I still have some souvenirs from Quark's Bar. Happy memories.
In my opinion, it's just another example of Corporations not caring about the fans and patrons of the Experience or Star Trek.
You actually forgot one tour experience in this "history of" video. In the last three years of The Star Trek Experience's operations, the show offered a "Behind the Scenes" tour of the exhibit. This was a tour which was separate from the Borg show and separate from the Klingon Encounter. With this ticket, you would be escorted literally behind the scenes of the still primary attraction, the then Klingon Encounter experience. This tour operated between the operating shows when we couldn't be seen by the guests. This meant sometimes standing around until the show guests had moved onto the next part of their show. This tour demonstrated how not only the transporter affect was achieved technically, but also how the final shuttle simulation worked from underneath while the shuttle was in operation. As part of this tour, we were led through the hallways to an empty bridge set and allowed to sit in the Captain's chair and be photographed. We were also allowed to examine the bridge set more closely for a short period of time with the lights fully on, such as looking at the commissioning plaque, at the signage and so on... something you couldn't do when the "show" was in full swing. We were also allowed to stand in a Borg recharge chamber and take a photograph there. This tour was intended to reveal the secrets of the attraction to those who took the tour. Since I had already done the Borg Invasion and the Klingon Encounter, I decided to do this tour. It was a little more costly than the shows, but it was well worth it to see how it was all put together and exactly how the transporter effect was achieved. I still have my ticket stub from visiting this tour as well as the two photographs from visiting both the bridge set and the Borg recharger.
Every time I hear about Star Trek: The Experience and the fact that it closed, I get so sad. I remember asking my parents throughout the 90's and 00's to go to Vegas so I could visit The Experience, but every time they had an excuse why we couldn't go. Usually, my dad would say he didn't want to support Vegas because he's a preacher and believed that Vegas was too sinful to visit. It always seemed unfair to me, and now that it's not there anymore I'll never be able to visit and there will never be another thing like it for Trek fans. Thanks, dad...
Never saw a single episode of star trek, but knew ever character and theming because of this place. My family moved to vegas so my dad could VP this "theme park". What a great memory as a kid. Still here in vegas 20 something years later.
My wife and I went many times. We Honeymooned in Vegas Dec of 2002 THe day after our wedding we spent it at the Experence. I wore a very accurate First Contact Captain's Uniform for the event. We knew one of the preformers on the Klingon encounter, and he played the Leutenant Bridge officer for us. My wife arranged for the whole day and it ended with my picture ysken in uniform, sitting in the Captain's Chair!
I went to this in May of 2008, it was beyond amazing! I was so sad to hear a few months later it was closed as I was planning on going back.
Man, I hope that one day Universal Studios will replace The Simpsons Ride, with a ride based on the Star Trek reboot films.
@New 2 Step Entertainment Yeah it's probably almost time (in Star Trek terms) to have that ride decommissioned.
My wife and I loved this place. We'd visit every time we were in Vegas and went to a couple of ST conventions held on that property. I really miss it. I'd would have loved to have shown it to my daughter.
I first learnt about The Experience when I was a child and advertisements prior to Star Trek films and TV shows in the 90’s. I was lucky to finally be able to visit as an adult in 2006 and 2007, three tickets purchased. Though each of those 3 times I purchase a day pass, I went through the rides as many times as time afforded. The Klingon encounter made me cry as we went to warp. My friend placed himself under Guinin’s hat for an ironic photograph. This place made my childhood dreams come true, and even to see it again from a third person view evokes positive emotions to this day.
I visited ST:EXP almost a dozen times. It was a wonderful, immersive experience I will never forget. I had such a great time with my family and taking trips with other friends after my daughters had grown.
Someone needs to get my Star Trek away from Paramount.
also add CBS, both know how to ruin a good thing and dash all hopes of ST fans.
We are currently converting our house into a spaceship / science fiction apartment and documenting the conversion here in our channel. Have a look and subscribe to us so you don't miss any news about our renovation.
I wonder what they have in that building now where it was...
Thanks for the clelon cup
I'm sad that this still dosent exist
Man... I never got to experience this.
same, i got into Star Trek back in 2013, and it breaks my heart every time i hear of the Experience. #BringBackStarTrekTheExperience
Same I never did either, my brother never got to either seems like such an incredible place
Damn, that hit me in the feels.
