Your video was truly beautiful and inspiring. As a fellow creator, I appreciate the effort you put into it. Sub and 👍2
Thanks for the sub!
Still a beautiful bike.
Thanks
Cassette? Looks like a freewheel.
Yep Still can’t believe this video is 15 years old And I’ll be 60 in a couple weeks Time flies literally! Thanks for correction! Cheers!
@mntbiker036 Cheers to you as well, my friend.
Would pool noodles work in the same way or is pipe insulators better
14 years ago. Hello! Hope you are doing well man and thank you!
I'm well thanks! Hope you and your family are also? Hope your family has survived 2020 well and your prosperous in 2021!
More than a decade. Waw
Thanks . That pipe insulation is what we need.
Thanks for the tip mtnbiker ohthreesix. I feel pretty lame for not having thought of it myself. Once you take the spacer out there's a much better range to move the cleat around.
Thanks for your vids on this man. Saved me 200$ going to a bike shop. All it cost me was 40$ in tools + 125$ in parts.
Hey there iv just had my giant nrs 2 done need some help on the rear of bike frame don't sopose u know the sizes of threads so I can clean them out
The small spacer is mostly for people getting used to clipless pedals for it makes it easier to clip in and out. If you take the spacer out, your shoe will just be a little bit tighter in the pedal.
This just rescued me. Thank you for taking the time to make and upload this video.
Yep glad it helped!
That guy can be a good school teacher.
need help my Barracuda Mountain Bike crank snapped off, the pedal bit should i buy a new one?? and how do you put it apart
Great video - thanks a lot!! :-) This might be a silly question but where can one order 6 speed wheels nowadays? And what does search for on online bike websites - "6 speed shimano wheel" or similar? Thanks!
Nice video! You might be able to avoide those wounds caused by vise by placing a piece of rubber between crank arm and vise teeth.
finally someone who explains it in a simple way. thanks bro
You are welcome!!! Enjoy the ride!!!!!!!!
Glad i found this, just got given a brand new but only £50 mountain bike and could not figure out how to lock in the steering column, turns out the screws were coverd by black rubber caps, just had to remove them!
Mines being a bitch to get off how do I make it looser
Very helpful thanks for the video.
This was helpful, thank you!
The only place that have them is that in UK. Those frames are very popular in Europe and many racers still use/look for them. I even got lucky and found a set of adjustable rocker arms. (3.75 - 4.75 travel).
Thanks!!! Got a web site link for where to get the bearing kit ? The last set I got I had to order from the UK!
Love it! The NRS was way ahead of its time and still a very efficient system. You should try to get the upgrade for the rear bushings, it converts to double sealed bearings on each side. Makes it a more responsive ride.
question: have you experienced servicing Truvativ Power Spline?
Thanks. What kind of crank puller/extractor do you need for that external bearing splined crank set up?
Hey, I need to replace my left crank arm (for reasons I'm sure are obvious but am too ashamed to mention). Is there a way to replace it without having to remove the rest of the set?
thats a freewheel not a cassette
aj ti budi faca pa moj zupčanik skini, bacikla je iz '74.
Thanks for this video. It's identified a tool in my Lifeline kit that I had no idea what it was. I need to replace my pedals but the pedal bolt is rusted solid, tried everything! So I'm going to replace the chainset and once I got the crank bolts out I used the crank extractor (unknown tool) and it worked a charm. Now just got to get the new chainset on monday and I should be set. At least for this bike...
Thanks for the no-BS video. Brilliant demonstration.
sorry just read the comments on measuring the size of the spindle but I'm not sure where to take the measurements from?
Hey, I've been looking for exactly this procedure for ages thank! Just wondering though how you figure out what size the bottom bracket is?
Thanks dude for no BS video, helped me greatly.
Thanks!
Nice simple video cheers
you forgot to put the cream on (anti-
Awesome! Mine is broken and needs replacing, i got all the parts but i havent got the tools so im going to my dad tomorrow to fix it ... Thanks to you i know what to do... Thank you very much!
good idea to clean thread on frame and apply a little grease.
i only use steel rod and a hammer, and tap the back side of the crank until it loosens
i need to know how to get it off with a rachet and wrenchs
HOw do you measure your bottom bracket?
1987 is the year I started mtbiking too! I still have my first bike.
Whats the longest bottom bracket i can buy to replace the current one? Bought a motor bike and the guy that built it only put one pedal because of the motor placement . Thanks in advance!
the last video ended with and you need to know... Need to know what!?
It depends on what it is and or how old. I replaced a square english threaded BB on a 2002 lemonds and now run an external bearing BB so I could then upgrade to all ten speed componets on the bike,
can u replace the old bottom bracket to a new versions bottom bracket on most road bikes?
can you replace a 6 speed cassette with a 7 speed cassette on a 6speed hub?
Hey bro , hope your doing good... i wanted to ask u after i took the crank off can i take the arm off the gears or is it all welded together??
If you didn't use the thigh pads would the sides of the kayak dig into your legs ? Looks like a good idea.
