Google is free my man. It is designed as an exhaust brake not an engine brake. Ford themselves call it an exhaust brake. There is a difference. A jake brake is an engine brake that differs completely in functionality and design.

@@Tuckgcinc “this is a perfect example of fords engine braking”.. but you put “exhaust brake” on the description.. however the difference between the 2 mechanically cannot be confused, exhaust brake is a flap in the exhaust that creates back pressure and slows the truck down.. which one like what ford would use (electronic) would turn on the exhaust brake, and downshift to create more and more back pressure, engine braking is simply going to a lower gear (higher rpm), slowing the truck down that way.. I do think the 23-24’s actually have a mechanical exhaust brake.. but don’t quote me on that. I would suggest you look along the full extent of your exhaust, it’s possible to manipulate the turbo vains to act as an “exhaust brake”.. but it would in majority, it would be engine braking if that was the case.. Also yes, Jake brake is different. A Jake brake restricts the engines exhaust valves. Yes. Still as good as the day I put them in. No wear at all from the seat or damage from the ported box

They do offer an integrated cam for your trailer and the trucks blind spot system works with the trailer. It's pretty cool.

Unfortunately with the 2020 model you can not do that. I believe they add that feature with the 2023 model updates.

Depends which focals I guess. My buddy has the same VXi amp set up with focals and mine sounds better. Have you priced the C7s. These are pushing 3k too.

If going down an 8% grade in an F350 rolling about 26,000 lbs holding speed with no brakes at all doesn't impress you then I don't know what to say. Maybe you can build one better 😂

They’re exhaust brakes but I know you mean. I was so happy to see some alternatives to service brakes that weren’t as detrimental to the wallet and safety to everyone when pick-up companies implemented these

I don't know who they is??? I researched this for months. This install was when the truck was brand new, during the beginning of covid and there were very little options on the market at this time. This was the best option to retain all factory functions and have a digital signal to the amps.

@@Tuckgcinc i tried to set the stickers on my 2022 Rockwood ....at the exact location where the sticker must be placed the propane bottles overhang the frame of the trailer making this system useless ...my neighbour has a Grand Design imagine trailer.....same result , so i guess my pro trailer back up assist wont assist me.

If you have your truck optioned with the engine brake button to toggle it on or auto it comes on whenever you let off the gas for on and auto is whenever it starts to speed up without you pressing on the gas like going down a hill and what not
