I come to watch and even get a surprise shoutout. Nice seeing your tests Lance. Have a good weekend bud.
@@IffySignals thanks for watching.
Interesting test that shows the clear benefits of multi-frequency over single frequency
who win?
@@speits84 deus 2 was able to hit the dime in single frequency and legend did not but both had no problems seeing the dime in multi frequency modes so I guess the deus 2 had the upper hand in this test since it was a single frequency test
What was your settings on the Legend?
@@billbarry2984 pretty much the only thing I changed from factory settings is i backed my first tone break down to 7, I changed the iron rejection down to 1, and i put recovery speed at 6. Everything else was factory settings.
Did you update is incredible now 117
@@ChrissyEis yes i have updated it.
That’s all I use is F
💯
Drop your ecovery to 2 itll go deeper
@@billbarry2984 thanks for watching.
Liked and subscribed to your channel. Keep up the great work out there and tight lines.
👍
Good job Lance !
That’s my girl!
Get her to the Olympics
Good video.
Good video.
I get in the mood to do shake downs too every now and then. Im no where as good at it as you are though.
Best wishes with the detecting from Lancashire, England.
Interesting.i usually hunt with g off and the rest open.theres lots of iron where I hunt to so I'll definitely be trying f off to see have I missed anything
Thanks for watching
What Lance showed! Same results on the Triple..
Very nice 🎉🎉. We're new subs to your channel 🎉🎉🎉
Ahhh 15 aggiornamenti per arrivare al risultato ???? Di Rutus in 1 aggiornamento 😂😂😂 Nokta ormai e diventata come la roba Cinese
nope legend are turkish
Rutus is no where near the detector the legend is. It has gotten better with update but rutus is still a toy in comparison.
bobina é pequena e vc não colocou em IR-0
Did u up the recovery speed?
Yes. Completely lost signal at recovery 8 and above and completely lost it at 2 and below. Vdi stayed the same in 3-7 but 7 was really faint signal
Nokta has taken the update down and are working on it according to history revisited!
Hello, I own a Garrett AT Pro, in your opinion is the Nokta Legend a better detector than the AT Pro?
I have also had the at pro and yes the legend is better it’s deeper and it runs in multi frequency. But the at pro is a good solid proven machine and is quality built.
Try recovery of 4
I did. Not much difference in 4,5 and 6. It starting losing the target and only giving one way signals when ran below 4.
What did you have your iron filter set at?
@@billbarry2984 i have it on 2. I never run it over 3 and I never run it below 2
You should do the test when the position of the coin in hole is more vertical
Sorry 10 inches
I go by sound that is why I found close to a hundred silver s last year and I am all ready at 13 for this year just coins not other silver objects just yesterday I dug to silver dimes in heavy clay dirt every bit 20 plus inches o the mercury dime a solid 46 a wheat penny VDI and the silver Rossy was only a VDI of 44to45 and they are in really good shape it was the extreme depth I believe i also hit on a silver quarter I assume since it’s was only a few inches away from the silver dime a VDI of 49 to 51 and very sweet tone using 60 tones DT at 2 after 15 inches I ran into a tree root I will bring my razor sharp hatchet with me next time it’s not going anywhere. I’m the only one allow to metal detectYeah I get a good tone one way or even a few squeaks. I’m am digging It’ and 80 percent it’s gonna be silver.
Thanks for watching
I had just the opposite I planted a 14 in silver dime with a 1 by 3 inch chunk of old iron with a IR 2 and ground balance one and 2 recovery at 7 I find 7 works great and I was slamming the silver dime in all directions a solid very high pitched tone with VDI reading from 35 to 51 with. Slight broken tone letting me know I had iron in the hole the thing I noticed was the ferro check was filled up constantly I was wondering if the newest update would address this no big deal I am going to leave it for now because I don’t want to set up again lol until the final update comes out lol
It work great for me today DT 2 was picking through the iron with ease I will never need another MD as long as as I live and beast mode was also working great I was very pleased with both updates
I have the Legend. It's pretty close to the Deus II at a third of the cost. But it does look like the Deus II performs slightly better in a lot of situations but the 3 times the price isn't worth the extra tiny bit of performance to me. I swing the larger coils for extra depth at the beach and the Legend does wear on the arms after a while so if money wasn't an issue I would get a Deus but money is an issue for me and I don't detect enough to justify spending that much on a detector. I'm doing much better with the Legend than I did with my Garrett AT Pro so I'm happy with that. The Legend is a very capable machine but the numbered settings are not the same as on other machines so when testers use the same values to compare, such as recovery speed, they often do the Legend a disservice. If you want some serious depth you got to run that recovery speed as low as it can go in your soil and the sensitivity as high as it can go. I run recovery speed 1, 2, and 3 all the time in my mild soil at max or near max sensitivity and get crazy depth.
If I drop my recovery speed below 4 then it seems like the signal is delayed and you don’t hear a beep until the coil has already passed the target making me believe the target is in a different spot than it really is
@@lancemcilwainoutcastmetald5398 That is the trade off but pinpointing helps. I hunt with higher recovery speeds when I'm not concerned with depth. I use low recovery speed in areas where I suspect the targets I'm searching for are near maximum depth.
I forgot to mention im running the legend in m2
Hmmmm
Try single frequency 15 khz
I did. All the single frequencies except 40 did pretty much the same as m2. M1 and m3 did not do as well. Deep target id set on 2 did the best every time on this particular target. I didn’t show them all because I was trying to keep the video from being too long
Thank you!
I'm finding exact same in UK soil. After a few hours I really can't see how you can trust beast mode.. it's a fail for me...I ended up swapping back to park over n over
So do you know which level to use exactly short of doing what you did?
Out in the wild i do not know but in my test garden everything was better with it set on 2 so that is where i will start and adjust as needed from there.
Gotya.
Interesting, was sensitivity maxed out on beast mode? Cheers
I have tried it turned down and all the way up. Still couldn’t hit the dime
Is this LG24 coil? It is not deep for the LG30...
Yes. This is the LG 24 small elliptical coil
first of all, 10 inches for a DIME is really deep, even for the stock LG30... secondly, it is obvious that it is the LG24. The LG30 isn't tiny and narrow like that.
Thanks, guess I want waste my time updating just yet.
Thanks for watching
The first brick I swung in front of was actually a clad dime. The bricks with holes in them are silver merc dimes and the bricks with no holes are clad
Are the bricks giving a signal on their own, swing over one and see if the brick effects your detector. 😊
@@billbarry2984 no the bricks do not. I have moved them repeatedly over the years when I have been asked and the results are always the same. I have been down that rabbit hole many times through the years.
Great test! Sounds like 2 has the smoothest tone and hits it great.
Thanks for watching
The problem with testing like that is the fertilizer is only thrown over the target. Fertilizer is a conductive salt that will hit as a good target so the iron discrimination sustem is useless here. Also if an area is mineralized the entire area is mineralized so the tracking system can pick it up and rebaling it correctly. Try digging up an area about 3' by 3 foot and mixing the conductive salt fertilizer thoughout it equally like mineraliztion would actualy be then bury the target. I think there will be a noticable difference. All VLF metal detectors would react equally like this. A pulse inductor type metal detector would hit it even if the threshold hum is chatty it would hit it regardless to being masked directly over the top.
Thanks. I have very mild soil everywhere around here and it’s hard to find natural mineralized soil to test in , so fertilizer was the closest thing I could think of. Our ground is so mild that even cheap detectors can hit 8 plus inch coins. My dads bounty hunter pioneer 505 even hits the deep stuff around here. Our main nemesis is heavy iron laden sites where unmasking is the #1 concern with detectors.
Are you running the LG24 coil with this test? Not only is the ID all over the place the audio is too. Yeah I agree with you, not a target most would dig. Do you have any other detectors like the Equinox 800 to test on this? Thanks for test
Yes im running the lg 24. As far as detectors, i have the legend and the double score and deus 2 and had the equinox 600 but it flooded a year after warranty ran out so i never replaced it. But i did like the performance on the nox 600 a lot.
@@lancemcilwainoutcastmetald5398 i have the Equinox 800, and have never taken it underwater. It's out of warranty too. Bought the Legend couple weeks ago. Liking it, but it's different. Half the reason for buying it was to tinker around with the settings. I think the Legend has more solid tones than the Equinox and its flute music. The Equinox has gave me a lot of coins though. The Legend still has to prove itself. 21 hrs with it so far.
@@RobNC-OGit took me a good while to finally click with the legend but now i ues it more than my other machines. My best program is park multi 2 in 60 tones with the first tone break set at 7, recovery speed 6 , disk ir at 2, deep target id set at 2 , volume 4 audio response 4. Sensitivity as high as you can run it and still be stable. Iron volume 3 and run in F to discriminate out ferrous but I still dig big iron but most of the time you can tell that it is big iron because it will be a chopped high tone with a little iron grunt off the edge of the target. Now silver is a different story. I can almost call a silver coin every time. It has a soft smooth high tone that says,HEY!! Im silver !!
I run the lg 24 coil almost all the time because it is so light. The original stock round coil is just too nose heavy to me but if you can handle swinging it then do it because it is crazy deep. It is deeper than my nox 600 was before it flooded.
@@lancemcilwainoutcastmetald5398 Agree with you. M2 seems to punch better for me also. I've been running Park M2, 4 tone, T1 break at 9, IF=2, St=3, Recovery Speed 4 or 5, AG=3. The LG24 is a good little coil. I like the LG30 too but my arm and tendonitis don't. But that LG30 is a real shocker, finds the stuff deeper like you said.
Great test!
Thanks for watching
Great
Interesting Test Lance..💥💥💥
Thanks for watching Charlie. love your live streams. Even with no shirt on. 😂
@@lancemcilwainoutcastmetald5398 🤣🤣🤣
What about field m3 you skipped that one and that’s the one I mostly use
It hits it. All 3 multi settings hit it. I was just trying to keep the video from being too long. The only thing that didn’t hit it was 40khz single frequency.
oh it can hit something at 12 inchs that was digging today that machine goes deep
Excellent test - well done!
Thanks for watching
Nice video of testing 👍😊.
Thanks 👍
Good testing. Do you think the depth could be increased on the CW bullet with a lower reactivity? Thanks for the video. 👍
Probably so but i think my hole may have gotten contaminated because my nox use to hit that bullet easily and now it will not hit it either anymore
Thanks for the info. I got a new legend and a lg24 coil to go with it so your video was very timely for me. 😊
@@lancemcilwainoutcastmetald5398You should go back over the Target's with the Equinox and See if it still hitting the Targets and if it's does it then it will be the Settings on the legend detector that is needed to be Adjusted on the Targets that are Sounds like Iron Grunts and that's before the Separation Test....
