This channel is for anyone who loves film but in particular fans of Tim Burton. He has been my hero and idol for years and I am so glad I have discovered his work. To celebrate his work, I'm here to review this filmography.
However, I have also reviewed many musicals as I'm a lover of theatre as well as Disney films.

A DREAM COME TRUE - The World Of Tim Burton London
I never thought this day would come but I am finally able to visit the World of Tim Burton Exhibition. Seeing his original drawings all the way from childhood to his latest film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has been a surreal experience and it doesn't end there. The Exhibition includes costumes, props and stop motion puppets.

A look into the influence of German Expressionism in the films of Tim Burton. Please note that this is not an in depth video into the history of German Expressionism or the art style of Expressionism. This is mainly looking into the themes and visual styles that have been used. I also apologise for any mispronouncing of any names.

Mary Shelley's House of Frankenstein
มุมมอง 8311 หลายเดือนก่อน
How do you do? Alex in Burtonland feels it would be a little unkind to present this video without just a word of friendly warning. I'm about to unfold the story of Frankenstein, a man of science who sought to create a man after his own image without reckoning upon God. It is one of the strangest tales ever told. It deals with the two great mysteries of creation: life and death. I'm also about t...

Is Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland More Faithful Than You Think?
มุมมอง 185ปีที่แล้ว
A lot of people seem to disregard Tim Burton's 2010 movie adaption of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. I don't get it as it is a faithful adaption but maybe not in the literal sense. In this video I will be discussing the themes of the books and why they are still timeless and classic to this day. I will be looking at how the movie captures the spirit of the book while being a movie while l...
Emily Vs Victoria - Corpse Bride
มุมมอง 221ปีที่แล้ว
During the month of Valentines, many of you may be watching plenty of romantic films. For me, a perfect romantic film is overlooked due to it's more spooky atmosphere but there is clearly more than what's on the surface. Tim Burton's Corpse Bride takes a love triangle but does it in a masterful way that I think it is worth looking at.

I know I'm 8 years late but this is the kind of content that I looooove. Thank you for posting!
this is so cool
I just found this out. The trailer says 'Henry Selick' whose name I only just paid attention to. Haven't seen the movie, just watched the trailer again.
I've followed you for some time, I love his art and his vision, but what I love the most is that it brings you joy, and that makes me so happy
SO JEALOUS I was able to go to the Neon Museum for Burton's "Lost Vegas" exhibition in 2019 (my amazing siblings treated me for my 30th birthday) I felt the exact same seeing his work and his characters up close and seeing his mind at work. Your merch is envy-worthy. That Stain Boy magnet is cute, at Vegas I got a Mummy Boy magnet, a pencil case (that broke so I sewed it onto qnother brush/pencil holder) and the Napkin Art Book. That umbrella is epic! I'd probably get one too! I do hope this comes stateside for me to experience.

Once Upon A Time Season 8-9
*THIS ENTIRE VIDEO IS A COMPLETE AND UTTER FILTH!*
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Beetlejuice, Ed Wood, and Batman have my favorite soundtracks
Sparingly using the ghost with the most (GWTM) in the sequel sounds like a great move. Hopefully it expands the story instead of just copying the first film. Elfman did the score in this movie too, right? Usually he can knock it out easily, but maybe he’s losing his touch like it seemed Williams was during the sub par Star Wars sequels.
For the most part, I agree. The movie is a lot of fun, I do think it juggles too much and I wish there was more Delores (especially since I cosplayed her to the theater lol)
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Seeing this in the theater was an absolute blast, and I can't wait to see it again! That was the most packed I've seen a theater in years.
I’m ok with the movie. I honestly do not like the first half…. But the second half… say from elephant love medley and on (sans like a virgin which I HATE!!!) is wonderful. But the musical? God I fell in love with this entire musical. My boyfriend HAAAATES the movie, but the musical? He loves it. Both of agree… the musical is better. The movie? Ok nostalgia…. The movie is good in parts… but the musical truly elevated the entire story
thank you!! i enjoy your video. and you are adorable.
Gracias por compartir tu hermosa colección
Besides some of the crew members like Elfman and actors like Depp, Carter and Winona. There's many of the same actors who have been in all of Burton's movies like Jeffery Jones, Michael Gough, Glenn Shadix, Missi Pyle, Albert Finney, Paul Reubens, Danny Devito, Jack Nicholson, Eva Green, Frank Welker, O-Lan Jones, Catherine O'Hara and Martin Short.
I’m confused when we play the rest of the 3 cards from our hand. All I heard and saw was the first one goes face down til the end of the round and the others are face up, but what I don’t understand is do I play the rest at the cards at the same time or play them one at a time?? 🤷♀️ help pls
What you do is you pop the fist card face down and go around the table so everyone has done this. Then you put your card face up and then go around until everyone has popped a card down. So you basically pop your cards down one at a time. Then when everyone has put down the number of cards for that particular round you add up your points to see who gains the holiday tokens at each location. Personally I think it’s better to go through each location one at a time so there’s less confusion especially since you can pop the card face down on either side. Then finally you go through the points at the middle location as all players are competing for those tokens. Hopefully that makes sense.
_Cinderella_ (2015) is a beautiful, visually stunning, enchanting movie. It's the best representation of the fairy tale on film. In the animated movie, stuff just happens, and the storytelling was quite lazy with so many shortcuts because animation is expensive. What was the story? What was the moral or lesson? Whatever it was it sure was executed badly with half the runtime being a _Tom & Jerry_ episode instead of focusing on the story and the characters. In the live-action movie, the focus is where it should be. I care about Ella because I know Ella. I don't know the animated Cinderella, nor anyone else in the animated film, so why should I care about what happens to them? The mice are Cinderella's FRIENDS, not strangers, even Gus doesn't stay a stranger for long, as instead of being independent, he joins the friend group. The lesson that kindness pays off *only* works with strangers, not friends; it's more impactful that way, and it means a lot. Friends doing friend things like helping each other? Wow, you don't say, what an unexpected twist. The live-action Lady Tremaine has a goal in the story - to get a lifestyle similar to the one she once had with her first husband. Marrying Ella's father, wanting one of her daughters to marry the prince, persuading Ella to make her head of the royal household, and blackmailing the Grand Duke, were the steps she took once the previous one failed. What's there to watch for the animated Lady Tremaine? With so little screen time, she comes off as one-note and it's just there being some meanie. BTW, this video is so idiotic and sounds so much like a parody, it's like what you're saying doesn't and shouldn't matter in the slightest. It's 100% useless as it has zero value. What else there to learn other than you are stupid.
Going to see 15th anniversary 3D remaster in theatres today!
It's a captivating topic, and very well-written essay, I wish the audio had a higher quality
tim burton is my 2nd director

I did try it a long ago with Edward Scissorhands but realised I was not very good at it as I just either kept saying wow all the time or just sat in silence
Alex in Burtonland, nice video dude
Very informative video! Have you seen the new book related to his exhibition called "the world of T. B."? How do you think it compares to "the art of T. B."? I'm a fan but would prefer to just have one book that is the most comprehensive/interesting 🥺
Thank you! It depends on what you’re looking for. I bought the world of Tim Burton from the London exhibition and it goes through the different sections of the exhibition so like a bit about Cal Arts and then stop motion animation and has more recent drawings from his latest films. While the art book goes up to 2009 so the latest would Alice in wonderland it has WAYYYY more drawings from early childhood all the way to 2009. Plus there are interviews with Johnny Depp, Danny Elfman, Coleen Atwood, Helena Bonham Carter, Paul Reubens, Christopher Lee and many more
A+
I'm still confused by Jack's special token. Can someone please explain it again?😭
So Jack has these special cards that says advance up the scale left to right on his board. When the game finishes, you will refer to where on the scale he has ended up to see what value Halloween and Christmas tokens are. Hope that makes sense
Christina Ricci in this movie is my dream girl
The two of them as well as Regina looking like Ursula are my favorite.
Still confused by this video
I lovvvvvvved this story telling of all the characters!!! Well done. You deserve way more views
I think you might have misunderstood Oogie’s dice roll - you add on the *difference* between the two dice, so the first roll of 1 and 2, have a difference of 1, which gets added to the 2 for a total of 3. With the second roll demonstrated, you rolled a 4 and a 6, which is a difference of 2, added to the 2 card makes a total of 4.
Thank you for letting me know. I’ll remember next time I play
This is the most helpful video I've seen all year! Thank you!! It prevented what was almost a monopoly-scale family dispute 😂
Thank you for this! Merry Christmas!
Eleven! Looks like it’s Oogies turn to boogie now!
I couldn’t believe my luck I got 11. Better than snake eyes 👀
