As we all know "knowledge is king" but it also should be unbiased and truthful.

How to use the MSR water filter and Lifesaver Jerrycan near a water source to keep up water supply.
#camping #overlanding #lifesaver #campinglife #jeeplife
How to use an MSR water filter in combination with a Lifesaver Jerrycan so one doesn't have to drive miles to the nearest town to get drinking and cleaning water. It also saves on gas and money!
I find that the effort and time it takes to fill the Lifesaver is worth it. First, using the MSR water filter device is straightforward. It is a simple learning process. ( Additionally, remember to always keep water in the filter housing. )
Both the Lifesaver Jerrycan and MSR will cost some cash but it's better then having a near death experience or calling 911. I worked as a EMT-Paramedic, Emergency Department (Level I) Trauma R.N. and Flight Nurse so I know what I'm telling you.
On average a person can live without water for 3 days but there exceptions to the rule. I suggest don't find out the hard way.

Wow
Things overlanders it seems like they always pick the shittiest spots for camping in the whole house down these back roads at 3540 mph tearing them up washboard in the hell out of them instead of going at a normal pace and looking at the scenery
Looks like a perfect day!

Thanks for this content. The detail level is perfect. I have almost the same vintage rifle and was a gift from my Dad in the mid 70s. I’ve never stripped to this level but was wanting to hence my finding your video. Hate that the ammo has become so expensive. I do not reload so it’s become an heirloom and not some I can afford to shoot much. Not cost but availability of ammo. Thanks again.

Hello everyone. I purchased a 2.5 inch ratchet strap and was able to get it to work! A big improvement from the 1 inch front runner strap. Front Runner cutting corners?
I'm a little confused sorry , if one mil at a hundred yards is 3.6 inches is the same one mil at 200 yards 7.2 inches ? Basically double ? Or if I need elevation to lift say for 500 yards I would adjust the turret settings per BC so if I need say 36 inch lift I would adjust 36 clicks ? Cheers Gareth
I just read your question again. So, if your needing to adjust for a BC of 36 inches elevation at 500 yards then you will need to adjust " 2 mils" elevation. That would be, 20 clicks on a scope that is designed for " 1 click is 0.1 mil ". With considering the aforementioned, then at 500 yards, without any BC adjustments, the adjustments would be 3.6 inches @ 100 yards, then at 500 yards it's 18 inches. I hope this helps.
Thanks for answering I really appreciate your time ! I'm still missing something and so confused I'm going mad , if one full mil = 3.6 how does 2 full clicks = 18 ? Is it simply that the further out the distance the full click in elevation is greater sorry for wasting your time
It's ok the penny just dropped , basically you just x the 3.6 by the distance so 5x3.6 = 18 so if I need 36 I would use 2 clicks
Finally step by step with video that actually SHOWS the viewer the process with clear video of the operation! Thank You
Damn, you're seriously dreary to listen to. You're also all over the place in your explanation. I can't imagine why people are praising your explanation...are other people _that_ bad?
@browhoknowsstuff did this fix the issue with your S15 magazines? I have the exact same magazines for my Glock 43x and I will do this to mine if it fixed it 100%
Yes it did. I found by bringing the bottom of the magazine forward it thus angles magazine and the first round upward. This causes an upward angle of the bullet prior to being chambered which will position the casing edge of the round above the Shield Arms mag edge that usually snags the casing as a result of, in my opinion, poor engineering. Not sure if this will be 100% fix. I went back to the 10 round OEM magazine and use the Shields Arm for back up.
@@broswhoknowstuff well I did exactly what you did in your video to my shield Gen3 Magazines and so far it has worked. I just got back from the shooting range and I didn’t any issues with both of my mags 👍
I have 3 of these mags, my issue is that the last round always fails to feed and the slide will lock open. Doesn't matter if I have only 5 or 15 rounds in there. Something weird going on for sure.
My guess is the magazine spring has more spring tension load with more packed rounds thus all the upper floor rounds have tension on them which forces the bullet's angle upward going into the breech. At the last round, the spring tension is low and then the bullet angle drops down. Not sure what type round your having the problem with: I have seen hallow points having this issue a lot.
Nice. I got Nylon washers from Tractor Supply. Worked great! Thanks. Too bad you can't patent washers, or a repair kit with the washers.
Unless the part is no longer available due to age, just replaced the fan in its entirety brand new. In the time it took you to clean, etc., you could've swapped it out. And the new one comes with a one year warranty.
Great Stuff!!... i am so confused on what is called Inches... that seem complicated and have not found anyone explaining how to calculate the Bullet drop inches into turret turns
Finally someone simplified this. Thank you.
This video is absolutely the best!!! Thank you for the detail and knowledge!! Got my rifle working like new.
You can see daylight through the mag grip because the shield arms mag doesn't have a back lip on the bottom of the mag like the oem has. Both shield arms and glock mags wiggle the same in my case. Nice video and good observation, I did rub off the front lip I hope it helps :)
If 1mil is 3.6 in at 100 yds is mil vale 1.8 at 50 yds
Milliradian scopes are commonly adjustable by 1/10th (0.1) mil increments. At 100 yards, a 0.1 mil click is equal to 0.36 inch, and a full mil is 3.6 inches ( 1⁄10 of a mil equals 1 centimeter at 100 meters). So at 50 yards, it is 1.8 inches.
ive had mine for 3 years...just taken it out of the box for the first time because i needed a jerrycan for my campervan
Looks like a good idea, but the velcro is attached where the weather strip contacts the glass. You might have introduced a leak at those locations if it doesn't make a good seal against the velcro. You could just move the velcro up a little to the clear portion of glass where it doesn't contact the weather strip. Good idea though, I'll probably make something similar.
you saved me from so much frustration. thank you
That was great
Hello, we are a jeep parts manufacturer from Maiker. We would like to talk with you about more details. How can I contact you?
What's up.
I also find it that some people understand the tenths in decimal explanation. 0.8mils is 8/10ths. For some reason it clicks with some people to use corelate the decimal places with the tenths.
Great video. Thank you
Glad you liked it!
Have you try using the Glock followers in the s15 mags And use them at the gun range
I have only inserted the Glock OEM follower in the Shied Arms magazine at home when doing my analysis. My plan is to do what you suggest. I will let you know what the results very soon. I do know that the Glock follower is the key. The springs are just as important by themselves when doing the calculus of what are the issues, the Glock ( 10 round) spring having less tension strength as opposed to the Shield Arms (15 round) heavier spring tension strength. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
@@broswhoknowstuff Thank you Interested in what happens when you change to the OEM followers thank you looking forward to hearing back from you
@@broswhoknowstuffhave you been able to do any testing yet to confirm the root(s) of the problem? Any reliability issues?
I'm really interested to see if you switched the oem follower to the shields mag. I just got my 43x and I'm considering the shields.
@@erikmcdaniel5323 I did not switch. My logic is that the OEM magazine spring designed for 10 rounds would not support the 15 rounds of weight: tension force. I was thinking the OEM spring would be too weak. For now, I use the Shields but only as support magazines.
This is the video iv been searching for. This is perhaps the one tutorial that, not only explains the conversion’s, but addresses the turret adjustment. I know I will have to verify those adjustments myself, but I feel I’m closer to that than I have been. Thank you and well done👏🏽👏🏽
I'm so glad that I could help you out.
I've been saying this. If you swap out the spring and follower of a G19 mag into a S15 mag it will work better.. Shield arms spring and followers dont match the gun
Exactly! The Shield Arms engineering department needs to follow up on this immediately or they will start loosing customers. I'm not just an "influencer" per se, but a consumer that values my return on investment. Maybe A.I. will see this reply and forward to Shield Arms. :)
What an excellent video you made. Step by step. Incredible. Thank you.
You're very welcome!
Here is my new MOA video that doesn't get into the weeds. I can thank my sister (English Literature Major and Lawyer) for pointing this out! th-cam.com/video/v8pXRD2C3xY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_XFobyrOiIJDxf_o
I always thought MOA was supposed to be easier . I watched your mil-radian video and it was sooo much easier to follow . I’ve always had problems with too many calculations I get completely lost and that is where I’m at now after watching your MOA video . That was definitely not simple at all to follow 😢
Sorry. I'll redo it. Thanks for the input and very much appreciated.
Here is my new video I just did for a simplified but good explanation: th-cam.com/video/v8pXRD2C3xY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_XFobyrOiIJDxf_o
Just but Psa micro dagger Glock mags now bro shield arms is over with
I agree. Gonna do!
I bought 2 and neither of them were reliable for me unfortunately
$80 box and it’s not waterproof. I have the original design and they are more waterproof than the new Pros. The outside edge on the Pros tend to deform in the wind or under pressure and can let water in. Another TH-camr also replaced the gasket and they still let water in. Nice boxes but not worth the price.
I'm shooting 124 gr bullet, FMJ. Additionally, I just mounted the HEHolosun507K-GR X2 reflex/reflective micro-optic on my Glock and zeroed it here at the range.
This is a great in depth break down! I watch a lot of different disassembly videos on a multitude of guns, and this one is the way they all should be. Thank you.
thanks for an actual thorough explanation, drives me nuts when people talk only mils and don't stress the unit is radians
Thank you.

Fantastic video! I've had mine since 2015. :)
Great to hear!
Great video. As new LSJC users we are experiencing thet tap dribbles water even the can is stood up and depresserized... any suggestions? Thanks!
I would get a thicker gasket at hardware or online: it's not the diameter but the "thickness" or height of the gasket. The other thing I would examine are there any thread issues noted on close examination of the larger threads the spout cap is tightened onto?
