Thank you for this excellent overview! I've got a new-to-me 2018 NuCamp T@B 320s Teardrop. After buying it, I learned that my 2016 Hybrid RAV4 wouldn't do well towing it except on flat ground. And the hitch I'd have to add would cost too much. So I've been wanting either a capable Toyota, Honda, or Subaru. I had an Outback for years, which I loved, so I was delighted to see your choice. It will have to be used to keep it within my budget. I'd love to see your review of the Toyota Highlander and Honda Pilot for towing. I'd also like your comments on Hybrid (which I prefer) vs gas-only engines. I don't know anything about CVT but my mechanic was leery of CVT for towing. Can you point me to any resources to learn more about that? Thank you again, and say "Hi" to the West, where I grew up and which I miss (living in the Southeast now).

Nice video. I have thought about both van and trailer. I also have a Outback. Like to see how you mounted you bike inside. Local I use a bike rack hitch mount. At 70 I have ebikes for mountain and gravel for a little assit. But don’t like leaving bikes locked up on the back of the car. In one of your future videos love to see how you installed your fork holder to stand up your bike. Great videos Thanks.

I m interest to get the ProMaster like your but I m not sure what package to select from Dodge Promaster. I don't want to get the package and then the upgrade has to remove or redo. Thanks

Great choice and nice explanations with personal experiences! I'm very happy with my Ford Maverick with 4K Tow Package. I have yet to tow with it, but I'm happy that it has excellent visibility and fuel economy while handling like a car and having some of the utility of a truck. Thanks!

Double check that 4 cyl Tacoma tow rating, think it is only 3500 for the 4 cyl?

Good luck with your " work truck"! Manufactures frequently exaggerate towing capacity. Yes, torque is what you need however, the lower RPM number for maximum torque the more torque available when you pull away from a stop or start up a hill. Available accessorizes like rear springs to handle the tongue weight and set LEVEL when towing is an also an important consideration. I'm from MN and the last time I was back in "the Cities" I toured the factory. I watch a lot of small camper trailer videos...and I keep coming back to Vistabule. My 2 reasons for not having a trailer are: 1. Lack of stealth. I want people to guess why the van is there unlike "camping." 2. I like to be able to turn 🔑 & leave without having to exit for safety. I've had at least 3 times in 10 years having to deal with people trying to break in, etc.

Congrats on the new Vistabule. Just curious, what other teardrop models did you consider in making your decision? Look forward to your new videos. I do wonder who ended up with the new Vistabule that Cosmo ordered? He was a great ambassador for Vistabule and truly missed.

Considered many teardrops but went with an InTech Explore. I'm also a cyclist, and it's perfect for securely hauling bikes.

A teardrop would be better for me because I want my car to remain a car, and not be a house.

I graduated to a an off-road mini-camper from a lifetime of tent camping out of a pickup truck. I couldn't see my way to buying a separate vehicle or making a camper van my daily driver, although I ALMOST compromised with a Toyota Sienna. I don't do much off-roading, but I travel a lot of rough roads, and there's often a tiny bit of off-roading at the destination. Most of my camping is off-grid, in out-of-the-way places. Nowadays, going to an organized camp ground, you may as well still be in the city.

If you haven’t figured the spice jumble, I got a magnetic spice rack from Amazon (meant to be able to hang on the wall. If you attach the base, that might keep ‘em straight while driving. Thanks for the tour. It’s 2024 now and it looks like Wayfarer has been listening to you and others. New builds have memory foam mattress with no folding part. The table looks much more versatile, as well. Back in the 70’s, I had a VW camper and really enjoyed it. With the advanced battery technology nowadays, and this awesome company, this looks like the same idea (down to the manual pump sink) on steroids. Thanks again!

Here is a suggestion: if you turn those cabinets upside down you will automatically have a ledge when you open the door. And if you put little chains on the sides, now you have a little shelf when you open the door. 😊🚐🏝️

I would never have a gasoline heater, if other than propane, I’d get the diesel since very common to find diesel, very efficient too.

I really like the simplicity of these builds. The water is great. You could just buy and extra jug, switch it out when empty, take the jug in to fill it, love it.

You should also glue pieces of yard stick to the top of your cabinets.
