I wrote this song when I was in college. I'd been planning on attending a prayer service, but quickly changed my mind when my friends invited me to join them for lunch. It got me thinking about how it's easy to not prioritize God in our lives, simply because there are so many distractions. Later, a trip to Las Vegas got me thinking about all the negative influences around us, and how we need to be careful to protect ourselves from temptations and sin.
