From Ukraine to Georgia by ferry (2017)
A short video about a trip from Chernomorsk, Ukraine, to Batumi, Georgia.
It was filmed in 2017, before the large scale Russian invasion, when such a trip was still possible.
May this horrible war, for which Russia bears full responsibility, conclude in a manner as positive for Ukraine as possible. For the sake of Europe and especially for the countries on its Eastern periphery.
Slava Ukraini!

Moldova is a small but very complicated country in Eastern Europe. What many people don't know is that there is another, even lesser known, Moldova. Music: Wonder Flow by Kevin MacLeod freepd.com/ Voice generated using: beta.elevenlabs.io/

Good explanation. English should also use ”Republic of Moldova” to make clear a reference to the recent state as opposed to Moldova, which created Romania - where most Moldovans actually live. ”Moldovan” is just a regional name; our ethnic name was and is ”Romanian”. In Romania, that Republic of Moldova is also named ”Basarabia” (Bessarabia in English?) - according the former name of the Russian occupied land. The same is used by some Moldovans in the Republic of ~.

Countries which are to the east of Asia Minor cannot be described as being in Europe.

Europe is not really a continent in a strictly geographic sense (that would be Eurasia) but in a cultural sense. And if you ask most Georgians, they will say that they are Europeans. I personally consider the Caucasus as a transition zone between Eastern Europe and Western Asia.
