How many of petals can make tea?
Awesome stuff, hi from hull UK
Great information! I've used it to treat bug bites, and it works great for that! I just grabbed some young leaves, washed them off with some water from my water bottle, chewed them up, and applied to the mosquito bite. It stopped the stinging and itching almost immediately! I held it there for about 3 more minutes, and it didn't swell up or anything. It's like it didn't even happen. I'm SOLD! Thanks for sharing.
Moringa is amazing! Quite expensive where I live
In the Philippines its called malunggay and is everywhere. In the small provinces away from the city you can walk around walk around and find food everywhere
I just noticed silkgrass in the yard. Thanks for the video!
In the end, if you are happy with the results, you have succeeded in your quest!
Brill
I like how you did this walking stick. Enjoyed your video. I'm basically a walking stick channel but would appreciate your visit sometime. Keep on, keeping on!
Thank you sir, glad you liked it! Your channel looks good, gonna have to give it a watch for sure!
👍
When do you harvest? Just when they are res all over and the most pump?
When they are big and bright that is a good time to pick. We're in Florida and it seems once it's cooler out like right now in the Fall they begin to become ripe.
promo sm 😊
We call it rosella flower
I like your video. The color of those plant looks good
It looks great inside! Probably would be more sweet if it sat for a month before opening, but I am interested to hear how it tastes. They were almost right from the garden - we haven't eaten one yet.
Gave it a taste, and not bad at all. That said we chopped it up and stored the fruit for the chickens to eat. Saved the seeds and the sprout for ourselves of course! 😆
We call it sorrel ❤
Nice work.
Thanks!
how you make it?
I like it. Easy to use, and the design is very human.
When marking a spiral on a stick I’ve found it simplest to use a string as a template to define the spiral. Once you have one you like mark with a pen or marker and commence carving.
Helo122❤❤
👍
If you're on the Eastern half of the US, Ligustrum vulgare (common privet) is an invasive exotic, but it also tends to grow so it makes long, straight poles, and the wood is very strong and flexible. It's only drawback is that it is dense. I have several staves 6-8" long just from my small yard.
Very cool walking stick! I tried my hand at carving with a dremel, but didn't have your good results. I've made a few, since then, with paracord wrapped for handle. Great job again!
My granddaughters bunny love chickweed. I’m glad my weeding the garden beds benefits 😁
❤ amazing! On a quest to regenerate my front yard zen garden after hurricane Ian, I run across this video and recognize the voice of my awesome childhood friend Duane. I just love fragrance, butterflies, birds, bees and playful squirrels adorning my lush world, I almost bring it back to life and then (finally) the trampling roofers show up only to destroy it once again. They are are still weeks away from finishing up, no blue tarps anymore, but still no shingles up there yet either. Will it ever end? Yes, Mother Nature has a way of awakening from almost anything.
Hi Debra! That's so cool to hear that you know Duane! He's a really knowledgeable guy who knows his stuff on Permaculture and regenerative gardening. If you haven’t, you should try getting in contact with him. Sorry to hear about your garden! It's so important to have a garden for the animals and insects as well as yourself. ☘
I hope to make the next event
Yay I'm so happy I found your channel! <3
Video bagus sekali.. Smoga sukses selalu.. Salam persahabatan slalu ...
Two years in a row I got woodchips the next day I applied through Chip Drop .As a matter of fact I got one last week even it is in the middle of winter in Toronto Canada area
Just throw some mushrooms in that pile obtain food from everywhere
Good idea! Sadly the mushroom that grows the most in our mulch is the Stinkhorn mushroom, it's a sign of good soil health, but it's kinda smelly. 😅
I wood carve, don’t care for the Dremel because of the noise. Your carving turned out great👍
Thanks, I do enjoy carving with a knife when the wood is soft enough, has a lot more control. Bought a new Dremel so I'm looking forward to making some other things in the future. :)
That was a really cool looking dragon you doodled and carved into a walking stick with personal meaning for you. I like how fast it went compared to carving out the whole dragon like I've seen in other videos. Interesting-the connection between dragons and trees.....they both seem to "awaken the wild Soul".
Thank you, I love dragons, especially Asian or Chinese dragons for my designs. I definitely wanted to go all out with the carving of the design, but as I said, I'm lacking experience with the dremel, so I kept it simple and used ink to make the design pop. I got a new dremel recently, so in the future I may make more complex designs. 😀 I feel awaken the wild soul can mean something different to different people, so I think the name is really special! 💗
Nice work
Thanks! 😁
Color is amazing 😍
Not only are they too far to travel too, the experience is different, very different that deep south. I grew in and lived most my life in Virginia moved to central Florida in 2014, found out 35 years of gardening in Virginia did NOT transfer to Florida! 🙃 🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely true! Location, climate, soil, tree canopy, all of these things affect what you can grow, and have to be considered when planting your garden. :)
🤣 someone has a wicked sense of humor
I have a tip that's helpful for telling if a watermelon is ready to pick. If you look where it is attached to the vine you will see a tendril close by. When that tendril dries all the way back where it connects to the vine try picking the watermelon. Works most times for us. You've inspired me to plant a plot of melon in the front yard. Good bye grass, hello food! I tend to do backyard beds but I like the vine covered front yard. 👍
Thank you for the tip! We learned about that towards the end of watermelon season, it was still confusing for us because even some of the melons with dried tendrils were unripe. But we were reading about what's called "White heart" where the watermelon lacks nutrients so doesn't become red on the inside. Will have to experiment more next summer, watermelon has done fantastic for us. :)
Still too far away for me. I'm in mid-coast Texas. But, way to go for you guys!
Definitely a fun event. It feels like a lot more events like this are popping up all over the place, keep an eye out, I'm sure one will come to a place near you. 😉
Thank you very much for the plug - God bless you!
Thanks much David! Appreciated! 🙏
Looks like a fun event... little far for me...I live in Montana...great video
Thanks a lot! There may be other events like this one closer to you, more events like this seem to be popping up all over the place. Keep an eye out! :)
Great video!!
Thanks! It was a great time! :)
I want to forage for goldenrod here in Pensacola. Do you have any suggestions on where to look?
