I see that people think very well of the lenses of those particular cameras - and I can see why in these excellent images. Twelve shots that put you on the mountain, well-chosen subjects, and the b/w more vivid than colour. Thanks for doing the homework on the riders, who were not all obvious.

Great video! I've just signed up for the 2025 edition. Quick question - are the ribinou mostly cobbled, mostly gravel, or a bit of both? I rode the Paris-Roubaix sportive in April and was hoping for more gravel/dirt (rather than cobbles) this time around?

It was only a few months ago that I discovered how big a deal the national hillclimb championship is for you guys, and honestly, I am filled with joy. This atmosphere, the many crazy but adorable fans simply amazes me. Here in Hungary, the hillclimb championship is kind of a simple road race competition, with a significantly longer distance. Needless to say, there are almost no fans along the road. Of course, people will probably go out more for a shorter but more "substantial" climb, but still. Also, if I understand correctly, there is no stipulation that only licensed competitors can start. It simply puts a smile on my face every single video where I see how much people appreciate the performance of athletes. Hats off.

Just when I thought I'd worked out that to be good at hill climbs, purposeful black kit was the answer, red and blue took it at the top. The low angle shots were very immersive. I liked the brief shot of wet tyre marks weaving over a patch of sunny road, very evocative of the season and this kind of event.

Bad choice of music here. It deminishes the respect these senior riders deserve. These older riders should be reverd for their dedication, hard work and commitment to aging strong. Not mocked with corny music.

This looks like a really great event. I did a hill climb about 32 years ago. Felt sick at the top! Think I'd be faster now. 😂

You may be able to adjust the free stroke to get the brakes to bite earlier into to pull. Usually there is a screw of some sorts behind the top of the lever or under the lever.
