Agreed, shredded cheese is a crime against poutine and the punishment is severe in Quebec. Luckily the guillotine has gone out of style but you might get deported for serving it. 🤣 It has to be cheese curds or it can't be called poutine ... if it doesn't go "squeak squeak" in your mouth then it's not right.

Thanks! That sounds like a blast! Most places didn’t take American Express, but we used a Visa card we have that has no foreign transaction fees everywhere we went. Had no problem with that. And almost everywhere we went spoke French and English! They say “Bonjour, Hello” when greeting you to test the waters, and when you respond back with Hello, they continue talking in English. 😊

@@monicamcfadden Yeah, in Québec it's mostly Vida vs MasterCard. In touristy places you'll always find someone who understands English. Elsewhere I'd suggest learning basic words that will help you with finding your way around. Words in French for bridge, street, forbidden, warning, cost, left, right, etc. Google Lens application can help. Most roadsigns use pictograms anyway. Restaurant menus will be bilingual in most restaurants, or an English version will be provided if you ask (or if you look confused). People are friendly in general, and crime rate is very low. You can carry alcohol around and drink in parks. Oh course, people will be less friendly if you are rude or show impatience when they speak French.

We didn't do Excellence Club, and we still had an incredible time! :) It's possible the food at Magna is better? Since we haven't had it though, don't feel like we missed much. :D We would definitely go again and just skip the club level.

Yes, we did tip, but not every single time we received service. We didn’t tip at the pool bar because of the logistics (wet dollars, haha). But did at many meals or when receiving room service, when receiving exceptional service, or if we had the same server waiting on us for longer periods of time. 😊 Enjoy your trip!

My friend and I are planning on going in November. Was this resort all couples. Or where there any singles? We aren’t looking for a party resort but was wondering if we’d be surrounded by all couples.

Thanks for watching! We had such a great time. It is a quieter resort, not a huge party scene, which we loved! The food was pretty good, some meals were better than others, but it is all a matter of preference. We didn’t have too difficult of a time finding food we each could enjoy. We walked the entire “U” shape of the resort, from one end to the other - it took us about 20 minutes or so. You could definitely have kept on walking though. Enjoy your trip!

Thanks for watching! We loved the rooms at the Poly! We brought a pack n play for the baby, and kinda stuck it by the table near the patio. The rooms are bigger at the Poly than most other Disney resorts, so it worked pretty well. Plus there were 2 bathrooms! Honestly, if you were feeling bold, could totally stick a pack n play in one of the bathrooms for a little separation for naps or just for the space. :) We were only there for a couple nights, so it might have been harder with a longer trip, but it seems like our kids get used to wherever we are staying after a night or two.

So exciting!! Happy Anniversary!! 🤗 You will have a great time! I like to think we are “normal,” hahaha. 🤣 Getting away from the kids for a few days was just so refreshing for us. Nice not to have to cut everyone’s food before your own at every meal! 🙃 Thanks for subscribing!
