Great insight into getting that perfect shot, amazing picture.
I can relate about a chaotic life/mind and been able to organize/calm my mind when im out there photographing landscapes.
The experience of watching "Anatomy of a Photograph" was truly uplifting. I was deeply enriched by the valuable lessons it imparted. Every second of the video was a joy, and I was captivated by its profound narrative. The collaborative spirit that infused creative moments into a mesmerizing photograph, frozen in time, was a testament to the power of collective energy and artistry.
We live differently, but we are one and the same . Experiences differ, too. Learning mixing together is the essence of life. Your artwork is stunning. I'll never look at portraiture the same way again...thank you.
Impressive! Just found you on TH-cam. Hope you are doing well. Peter, Amsterdam, the Netherlands
What a great presentation; done patiently, politely, brimming with real enthusiasm and great art-photography…expressing the life full of meaning….thank you, be well, keep doing it; please don’t stop!!!!
I keep learning at 82! Thanks to you Mr. O!
super
Beautiful ending bob thank you for sharing this story to the world, you are loved by many here on the Fort Peck Assiniboine Sioux reservation
White feather man your brother Rattling Thunder says hello
I also wanted to say creating Art the way you and many of us do is feeling the experience and capturing or creating that feeling so others can feel the emotion. Thanks for letting us into your world of though and creation sir .
I like the idea of the fine art show being part of the art . We here in central Illinois do similar shows of art and music. So the music event is Art . I didn’t see it as such but an “experience” but it’s also “Beautiful Art in Real Time”
John is genuine living cowbow, from an American period long past. Very fascinating, love this and how he is being captured, forever. Thank you for sharing this video. Montana is absolutely gorgeous, btw. Montana is American old west & cowboys better than anywhere. That what it says. 😎👍
Why don't we have more content on this channel? I was so looking forward to more content from Robert Osborn.
This is phenomenal. What a Gem of a content and so, so much to learn from here. I had goosebumps towards the end of this interview. And what a Photographer 🙏
Brilliant. Such a inspirational photography. Thank you.
Going turned into went that fast
That was exceptional... the last image showing the hand over the face, and understanding its meaning, a true work of art. Thank you
This was cool. So much better than the usual TH-cam talking head about photos in a more pretentious way.
Very well executed photography and use of light. I’m asking myself, are these traumatized and poor people receive part of the proceedings from your work?
❤️❤️
Awesome. Continuing to inspire me for over 40 years.
Loved hearing this story. I spent two years working on a project that started by accident. As things progressed it did take on a life of it's own and became something much larger than anything that I might have dreamed up. Just like you said. The climax of my project was foreseen by about eight months. I had to wait on the availability of one of the two subjects in the grand finale image I had in my head. In the end, I got the shots and feel like I completed something of more importance than anything else I have ever done. Thanks again for sharing this story. One day I would love to have coffee and conversation with you sir.
Love you brother man
I dig your work. From one photographer to another, you shoot beautifully .
Incredible work. The connection achieved between sitter & photographer is skill plus empathy. My respect.
Im constantly surfing the internet to find photographers, who are still alive and working, who have the quality of someone like an Avedon or Penn. Finally i have found one. The work here is simply stunning, the kind that i consider the highest form of portrait photography. I can only hope that one day i can achieve work at this level. I am glad i found you. Please keep up the good work. I'd love to see the Native American project when finished
Robert I find you work Amazing.. I thank you for the Motivation that enters me as I view your images..
I think it's important for photographers to always have respect for their subjects and I hope this guy does
You truly took the words out of my mouth.
What an excellent video. Cannot wait to visit your studio in Livingston.
I've been following your videos and I love them and I'm learning so much. Thanks for sharing your way with us showing us the proces of doing those great pictures. With your story of the photoshoots the last Image almost took some tears of me. Thanks again
Wish I would have watched this video sooner. Truly inspirational!
That discussion of finding beauty in the chaos and then organizing it resonates so strongly right now...I'm only 5 years into taking this craft seriously, but only recently was I able to articulate that to myself...nice to have that mental process validated by a master.
It’s funny that a photo project intended to pay homage to the Native American peoples is using a term “Indian”. In Canada 🇨🇦 it’s considered to be derogatory and colonial term. Native Americans, aboriginal people, First Nations - these are more appropriate terms.
Refreshing
Absolutely Fantastic 💯
What a remarkable piece. So we’ll done.

Robert - I know im late to the game but just now seen your video. Marvelous - simply Marvelous. I enjoyed every minuet and your humbleness to your approach. Bravo!!
I like to think at some point Bob'll find out one of his cowboy subjects used to race BMX in the 80's :)
