The weather let it down today would
I do it again when it’s dry probably not but I’m keen to walk more of the chilterns in the summer month when dry.
But overall it’s always good to get out so
I feel better for it.

Another amazing marathon completed! That’s 2/32 taking on all London boroughs Overall feelings of the borough not as much open space as the walk before but it still had some lovely spots and most importantly it had the Thames path that’s always amazing. #hammersmith #fulham #mentalhealth #adventure #walking #london #londonadventure #marathon

Great start to project32 with a wonderful marathon walk in the London borough of Enfield Project32 will take me to every London borough completing a marathon in each. With a focus of finding green space within lodging and raising awareness of men’s mental health and the benefits of moving and keeping active Enfield was very green and I found some wonderful new routes and hopefully we will have ...

I was in Bristol to go see a live talk by Kenton cool but I had a few hours spare and heard about western super mare… so went to find out for myself I think this is a common occurrence with uk seaside towns out of season is there anyway back for them? I love them all year round personally but you can see why most people stay away. #seaside #mentalhealth #travel #coastalpath #adventure

Nice, dry underfoot will be much better
Grew up there, we used to play in the ww2 ruins. We had an old rope where we used to swing across an old gun fixing. They were very smelly though😂Long before health & safety
Hi Scott, sorry you didn´t enjoy your walk in and around Amersham, but I can understand why with the hard going underfoot. I´ve lived most of my life in Amersham and Chesham and the walking around here is great in the spring and summer. Hope to see you back here then. Btw, the closed pub you saw in Winchmore Hill, The Plough, used to be owned by Barbara Windsor. I remember downing a few pints there back in the 1980s.
Actually looks green
Love it Scott. Are you able to share your route maps?
Going down is worse....knees take a battering 😬 I ran outta daylight.... started too late....took 3 hours to get up..easy....6.5hours to get down to Denia again....pitch black...blind...shere drops on the Denia side. I'll upload my videos at some point. Nice vid tho fella
I'll be giving this one a go, thanks.
One you should do is a wander from Dagenham East station, passing the Harry Potter visual effects film studio and across the chase to Elm Park. You could then go across the old RAF airfield and to Hornchurch. East London is much greener than people think. North Weald is a lovely place to lose yourself for a few hours. During COVID, the deer discovered Harold Hill and regularly go for a wander in the summer around the estates! Nice walk!
Awesome #1 of 32 Enfield is pretty green I lived trained & competed in Enfield so know it has a wealth of Green space there. Hopefully you didn’t get too wet. What was our start & finish time ( of the day )🕰️
Well done mate. Walking and fresh air is good for us and it's free
Well done mate. Definitely looks like Enfield has the green space to match other boroughs for walks. Let's hope it has the same desire.
Excellent. Our very own Smashie and Nicey.
Hit the ground running 👏🏆
Proper Chats is go! First of many hopefully 👍
I used to go there as a kid. If you walk south from the park you're on top of a hill from where you can see the whole of London. It;s hard to imagine that you're 10 mins from the M25. It's a beautiful place to be in Spring or summer, woth some fantastic bike rides around Warley. The kids trail is great fun! There used to be a large old house there - Thorndon Old Hall - now a ruin.Think the waterfall is more Viagra Falls than Niagra, but hey, you're where TOWIE is set...!
No danger of them putting a hydro electric plant there 😂
Did well to find that torrent to be fair 🤣
A walk never possible as a kid as the Army tended to use you as target practice. Lovely place to walk in the late Spring. Red flag up means they're disposing of ordinance. You should do a long walk along the river at Burnham-on-Crouch..!
Those red flags are up all the time because of the mud flats and shallow waters. It's so boats do not detonate explosives by accident or get stuck in the mudflats and interfere with testing space. Most days the flags are up even when there's no detonating, which is rare from what i can tell.
An inspiration as always. Thanks
Well done. I really enjoyed that. 😄 Good advice too. We tend to neglect ourselves sometimes.
Well done, guys - great effort.
Wow. 100 kilometres. Who'd have thought a walk around London could be so big. Unbelievable to see how diverse and different it is. Why not have a walk of the Circle line as the next one. Split over two days on the longest day it would be a good way of getting folk together. Great job and 'keep talking'..!
Top Work - 👍
Your sisters a fucking sort fella. I definitely fucking would. Ooof! 🐈🍆
Never knew there was a bear trail! I want to go there now
The bears are cool. I like the bears in the boat and also the bench one. Although they are far apart if I remember
Born in Dartford, grew up in Swanscombe and used to take my dog walking down on the marshes and went to school in Gravesnd. Now living in deepest Berskshire!. Never heard of Botany Marshes, sounds like some marketing attempt to make Swanscome marshes sound interesting and less of a sh**hole :D This was supposed to where Paramount were going to build a huge amusement park to rival Disneyland.... yeah right that is so going to work. Needless so say they've been talking about it for 15 years and nothings been done about it! There is some great history around here, the oldest human remains were found in Swanscombe in the 1950s, 400,000 years old, google Swanscombe Man (who turned out to be a woman!) and a Roman villa in Springhead next to the Roman road of Watling Street which passes to the south of Gravesend and Dartford. Great video but it did confuse me everytime you did your piece to camer as it had mirrored the image so it looked like you were walking along the north bank of the Thames :D
There are a lot of worse places to live and many of the problems here have been caused by the austerity policies of the last 14 years Of course everything would have looked much better being filmed on a sunny day
I like Weston-super-Mare so I moved here from depressing and violent Bristol. Apart from the parking charges it is a town that encourages visitors and welcomes people. Visitors are its lifeblood and apart from a few pathetic specimens who can't stop drinking in the town centre the residents are really happy to see people come and enjoy themselves. The prom is great to take a stroll on and has a really good vibe; it's a happy place. There are really nice restaurants and bars and lots of events through the year, like the Beach Race, Beach Rugby, Beer Festival, Carnival, Bike Nights and concerts. Take a walk into Uphill and enjoy the beach, Bistro and views from the Beacon. Go up into Worlebury Woods and see a unique 2,500 year hill fort made of stone. You can get a view from up there that looks right over Weston to Brean and also across Sand Bay towards Clevedon. There is a blue plaque stating that General D Eisenhower camped at the water tower in preparations for D Day. Take a bike ride from Weston Pier to Clevedon Pier and, heading south, if your bike can ride on the beach you can ride all the way to Burnham-on-Sea's Pier. There is a bike path all the way to Brean Down and to the Victorian military fort at the end of the spit. You will see spectacular views of the Quantock hills, Exmoor, South Wales, the beaches to the north and south and Steepholm and Flatholm. We can all go looking for and finding shit and we can all be turned off by the people in the town who have no desire to lift themselves out of the gutter but they don't define the town. They are but a tiny part of what is a good place to live.
I have a boat at canvey so next time shout me and I'll put kettle on 😂
Definitely thank you ☺️
Epic effort mate! Well done. I am amazed you did it without knowing how many peaks you would be heading up though?!? 😂 Thats got to make it extra hard psychologically! 😳😄
Thanks 👍 yea it was tough but I loved it if honest
Hi Scott great video that black jetty was built to unload fuel from ships there used to be storage tanks that were never used a few years ago they were dismantled the crains you see is DP world at Stamford le hope
Cheers thank you for the info
If you carried on past Gravesend another mile you would have come across the ex National Sea training school/ college where I attended Dec 79 to March 1980. Its now a Police riot training centre. There was a previous sea school up to the late 60's that was closer to the town
We done another walk couple weeks back gravesend to grain went past it
Video is reverse to what it should be at some points
Yea poor camera work on my front sorry
Clad you pissed off back to Bristol,,😂
Definitely
Almost 2 excellent full years there during early 90's, at RAF Locking doing my radio trade training. Was last there for an overnight stay with a couple of friends for some beers, in the summer of around 2006. Seems so long in my distant past now.
Weston-super-Mare is... like many British seaside towns, dying. The last nail in the coffin was the closure of Marks & Spencer. I used to visit often, having lunch at "Tiffanys" at the far end of the pier. The Fish & Chips were excellent, the service very good. Then they sacked their chef (to save money) and went over to "oven chips" and microwave everything else. Crap, and I've not returned. The "Old Fashioned" sweet shop on Regent St were often out of basic sweets. When a town sweet shop hasn't got sweets... then you know you've a problem. The whole town centre is "we aspire to be chavtastic... " Avoid, avoid, avoid.
*Weston*
Corrected thank you 👍🏻
Pretty much most towns now , the government's and globalists , shackeld with the eu will be pleased , the uk is dieing !!!! all well, pre planned !!!!
I smiled at 15:50 when you said “one more push and it’s down hill potential” 😂😂 I did the same event so I know what’s coming🏔️
Are we feeling enriched enough yet ?
Hahaha immigration 🙌
I heard about the Lifeboat Station a while ago. It's taken years for the council to gain ownership, get the funding and a programme together. The new steels for the lifeboat centre go in the summer of next year. Once the pier is done they're talking about town centre regeneration. Westen S-M, and Morecombe are slowing clawing back their heritage again. One day they'll shine again. I love your positivity. Needed a bit of a dose of that today on a gloomy grey day!
About 1 mile back inland from Weston Super Mare station was RAF Locking, where my dad did his Radio Distance Finding trade training in 1952. The camp was still operational when I was in and may have been a good posting to have for summertime beach life. A good insight into the town Scott and I get my old dad to watch it.

Always wanted to go there. Not sure now 😂 Would you go back on a sunny day Scott?
Ok for a day trip if the weather is nice, a drop of the hat sort of thing from bristol. But the place is a dump aint it. Was better decades ago tbh, gone proper down hill
Proper effort man, GG! Thanks, helps a lot!
Superb video, enjoyed the commentary, you're a natural. I'm walking from Reading to Henley in a couple of days. Good to see how much flood water there is. Thank you.
Thank you so much that’s really kind.. I hope you have dryer weather leading up to your walk 😂
Top man! Great work!
Cracking walk chap, brought back some great memories of the London LOOP and the Capital Ring. I've done the Slough Arm, the Paddington Arm, some of the Brentford Arm and up to Rickmansworth on the Grand Union Canal. I'd 100% recommend it. It's tough on the legs though, all flat, and the relentless plod , you'll be screaming out for a hill or some steps!!
