    I know time has passed since you posted this but could you give info on Remote and Not using Hydraulic Pump. Did you buy valve set up from Kubota? Thanks, awesome informative video!

      I bought another tractor,a kubota l3800. It had a set of remotes already installed. It was very easy to use them in stead of the pump and so much better. Makes hooking up the hoe even faster now.

    I don’t know but that pto hose pump have to be up bc anything can hit down. Check the max wood installation video.

      Funny you should mention it. I recently change the setup and am no longer using the pto pump. I have a set of remotes and it took all of about 15 minutes with a couple new hoses to hook up. Now am running off of the tractor hydraulics. Much easier to hook up and detach.

    Thank You for the great video and explanation. I have Pat's Quick hitch on my LG Tractor and have been looking at this Woodmaxx backhoe the larger one though. I am wondering if I will be able to hook this up while I have the Pat's Quich Hitch links on my tractors two arms. This video definitely helped me to understand what I will be dealing with on the hook up though.

    I picked up a WM6600 in 2020 and love it. Hyd thumb, ""Quick connect" bucket connection and the "Ripper". I mainly bought it for my '97 JD770 which the hoe is on the high side of being too heavy. I did have to put my box blade in the bucket but then you lose the use of the bucket. I used it pretty hard for two years then decided to get an LS235He and that is now it's home. I hardly know it back there. I dropped at least 2 dozen trees the last couple of years and it's actually been surprising how much it will lift. Let alone the rocks and stumps. A frame mount will most always be safer for the tractor then the 3pt. I've actually read of a couple of tractors that had damage from the frame mount breaking so it's just a matter of how well the metal was cast. The tree point is ONLY a static connection. You do NOT lift it after it's connected. Just drop the control lever down and your good to go. The hardest wear of the 3pt hitch mount is the Top Link on the tractor. It will bang back and forth pretty good so that is where any damage that MAY occur. I looked for weeks online on "damage to 3pt mount back hoe" and I could only find maybe around 6 that actually had damage and maybe 2 or 3 of those where "my buddy had it happen" or "they heard it happened". So out of the thousands that have been sold I figured what the hell I'll take my chances. Especially when you see a tractor with a round hay bail on the 3pt and on the loader, how is that different?

  • @dimitriosfilipakis4504

    Hey Brother.. Thanks for the video.. i subscribed cause your rigid top link explanation is golden for me, but i do have a question.. aside from the obvious stress put on the top link plate, which i addressed already as preventative maintenance.. does the rigid top link allow the outriggers to lift the rear of the tractor for additional weight on the outriggers? my current backhoe came with a standard top link attachment, but that allows the outriggers to fully extend and the 3 pt is still in float, about 8" of lift still available, so the only weight on the backhoe its its own weight which i have lifted off the ground almost every time i use te machine cause the boom and curl power make the backhoe feel a little light during operation.. i dont have that planted feeling i was used to with my BX25 that had a subframe backhoe.. so was looking for something to make everything stable back there.. and found you :) please reply and let me know if in fact it lifts the tractor for added weight on the outriggers

    • @Yogi-qv8iz
      @Yogi-qv8iz ปีที่แล้ว

      Short answer is yes. I can lift the rear tires completely off of the ground. I would also say that really doesn’t help that much. I try to just put enough weight on the outriggers to stabilize the hoe,and or make it level. I will say that I have used the hoe to lift the rear end of the tractor to get “unstuck” before.

    • @jaygyver7213
      @jaygyver7213 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually the manual says to only use the legs just enough to take the extra weight of the backhoe unit off the tires, meaning not to lift the tractor tires off the ground. A full real back hoe can do it as it's actually part of the frame of the HD tractor unit. I don't know if it's ok for a frame mounted back hoe farm tractor mount.

  • @charlesmach7511
    @charlesmach7511 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have the same hoe on a John Deere 3320 tractor. Got the hoe in 2014 and have no problems with it. I know what you mean about hooking the hoe to the tractor. I got a longer pin for the top link and ground the end of the pin to a fine point. Once I get the pin started I can drive the pin in and it will center itself . The bottom pins were long enough so I could grind them also. I have dug in over 800 ft of drainage ditch about 3 ft deep. When i set the outriggers I only use enough pressure to level the tractor and leave most of the weight on the tractor. A good hoe for the money. I would buy it again.

    Would you be able to dig a ditch for a 1250 gallon septic tank that measures about 7' deep with this backhoe on a 35 hp tractor?

    • @Yogi-qv8iz
      @Yogi-qv8iz 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Would be difficult but possible. Probably would need to dig a sloping ramp into the hole on one side. Would be easier.

    • @raymondergarcia
      @raymondergarcia 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Yogi-qv8iz thanks for your reply! I'm about to outfit a Kioti 35 hp with this backhoe and am a bit confused about how the "dig depth" of the backhoe is actually measured. But yes, totally makes sense you would need a ramp to reach the depths at the furthest end of the ditch

    • @Yogi-qv8iz
      @Yogi-qv8iz 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The dig depth is accurate, but the limiting factor really is how far horizontally can you dig at that depth while remaining in one spot. It's not much. You will have to move constantly. If it were me,.and if there was room I would use the hoe to lossen and the front bucket to move dirt, using the slope.

    Excellent video, and much appreciated. I was hoping to see the next video of you using the 7600 but I can’t seem to find it. I’m in the middle of these repeated atmospheric rivers in the Fraser Canyon of BC and my canyon-side homestead has nearly washed away several times already. I am trying to buy a WoodMaxx 8600 with which to fight these floods (right now I’m using my front end loader and a hand shovel, and I’m finding that I’m way too old for this s**t) but it looks like I may have to settle for the 7600. I just can’t wait a few months for more 8600s to be manufactured. I wonder how much performance I’ll really be missing out on...

    What size is that bucket?

  • @cabinman
    @cabinman 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I dont think you are comparing apples to apples here because they are different size tractors. It's like comparing the F150 to an F250 and saying that the 250 hauls more payload and weighs more...of course it does. Pound for pound the little 7800 is hard to beat and the emissions and electronics on the newer tractors is making it harder for the hobbiest to afford to keep one around long term.

    • @Yogi-qv8iz
      @Yogi-qv8iz 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think that the differences are related to the size of tractor much as the design. The likes and dislikes I have would be the same regardless. I . currently looking for an L3400. I am hoping it will address some of problems and pet peeves I have on the l3100.
