Union Pacific CA Freight Train
A new addition to my post-holiday layout is a combination of Union Pacific, Western Pacific, and Thunder Valley Railroads. These railroads have a historical connection to California, and this train and video is dedicated to the people and first-responders of southern California who are dealing with the January, 2025 wildfires.

I have once again gone into the Conductor Vin RR archives and assembled the Lionel Train that started it all... My dad's 1951 set with 2035 locomotive, 2020W tender, and assorted freight cars. My only modification was the caboose... The original was unlit, no windows, so I swapped in a newer generation lit caboose, same color and still Lionel Lines... This is my first Christmas layout since moving to Troy, NY. I combined the best of my Dept 56 buildings, which includes Graceland and the recently acquired Palm Lounge with Elvis sign. The freight train features the 2035 steam locomotive and 2020w whistle tender from my dads original set. This is the second appearance of the Lionel END OF THE LINE EXPRESS with added King Tut Transport for the theme. I've acquired a good assortment of Lemax Spookytown Bldgs [such great detail]. This is without a doubt the boldest layout I have ever done, and it fully embraces the Halloween and Egyptian themes.
