Good work 😊hope you make your dreams come true never give up
I am new to this game and very surprised that there aren't any mods to change weather or the timecycle. I was also hoping for weather storms to be a thing or heavy snowfall on the maps like Alaska. Not even a video on how to edit the weather? I guess this game just isn't fully supportive of mods?
This is exactly what I was looking for. Can I ask why you used the PCA9685 instead of providing PWM directly from the pins on the PI?
If I recall I think software pwm caused the servos to chatter and there was only 1 hardware pwm pin on those early pi’s. I don’t know if the newer models have more
That a great lap for sure I did 10000 mile on this car and this track....to get it down to a 520.674 th-cam.com/video/KxLrolMtWOU/w-d-xo.html
Hi brother, can RSRBR 2021 or any of the previous version works with Simtools or SimRacing Studio software for motion simulator?
Can you please share how you made this
Sure. This is a "Ball Screw Linear Actuator" that we got as a complete assembly (from Alibaba I think). You can get these in many different lengths, and with different motors depending on your requirement. This one has a NEMA 23 stepper motor which can provide around 25kg.cm torque. This gives enough power to lift approx 50kg weight - also I found out later enough power to completely destroy the flex coupling between the motor and the lead screw if the carriage gets jammed! It also came with 2 x "SN04-N" inductive proximity switches that I used as limit/end switches, and a "FMDD50D40NOM" stepper motor driver module. The stepper drive module requires power (24VDC) and 3 x digital signals to operate. In this case I made a small circuit board (as can be seen near my knee in the video) with a PIC1503 microcontroller and custom software to provide the digital signals, handle the limit switch inputs, and provide buttons for the user to work the machine etc.. The digital signals required are: PU = Pulse - the stepper will move 1 step per pulse DR = Direction - setting this HIGH / LOW changes the direction of travel CW / CCW MF = When this is HIGH the stepper drive is active, and will either hold the motor in position (no PU pulses) or move when PU pulses are received. When LOW the stepper drive is disabled and the motor can be turned freely by hand.
👍👍
This one looks dope. Thanks for sharing.
Great Job Leo! Have you posted your project to the forums at Xsimulator.net? I would really like to hear more about it. I'm sure others would find using the PI as a interface a great option, should you want to share your setup. Take care, yobuddy
Yes, the project page is: www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/3dof-concept-model-using-raspberrypi.10570/ If anyone wishes to recreate something like this, all the information they should need is there including the complete software (Python) code. Also, some may find useful the method I have used to communicate between Simtools and the Pi using the network interface / LAN. I found this method was not so well documented.
Thx Leo! yobuddy
