Brantford has less gingers then Hamilton. There might be less iron oxide in the air here in Brantford. Our pineal glands are less fossilized as there is less flouride in our water. Brantford eggs are cheaper then in Hamilton. We are just over-all in a superior position to Hamilton. If you are doubtful, just check an altitude map.

You also forgot to mention that Hamilton below the escarpment is one if the best places in Canada to garden if you know anything about plants! I left Ottawa 55 years ago to come back to the Hamilton area because of the things that I can grow here!!!! Our growing season is 2 months longer than Ottawa's for example. People don't realize that we are 1000 km SOUTH of Vancouver and we have the heat units to grow a vast variety of plants. For example, I grow Myrtles from South Carolina, I have a huge Sequoiadendron, 30 ft temperate climate bamboo, Alstroemerias from Peru which last all winter, Cedrus libani from Lebanon, Cedrus deodara from the Himalayas, and Cedrus atlantica from the Atlas mountains in Morocco, They are all hardy here, and just here from Hamilton to Niagara on the Lake. My figs are even hardy. Finally, we have in many places the best of sandy loam and that is why we grow the best peaches on the continent just east of town. So, if you like gardening or fruit farming, this area is the place to be!

You forgot mentioning that Hamilton is an insurer's paradise. We have no hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, wildfires, ice storms, not even very much snow, dreary rainy winters, insects or earthquakes. I can't think of any other city in Canada that does not have some of these problems. i would not want to live in Kelowna, for example where a wildfire might burn down my house or in Ottawa where you freeze to death for 6 months or in Winnipeg where the insects carry you away!

The problem of student housing has//is being addressed with over $600 M in high-rise structures.

it was all great until the zoo ... animals do not belong in small cages and the time has come to stop doing so. With our advances in technology they can all be seen in the wild and do not need to be put in very small spaces which only harms them.

Are there many other examples of townhouses with mainfloor master bedrooms, preferably in Oakville or Mississauga, or in Burlington, or Hamilton? I/we would like to downsize to something like that in a few years.

Unfortunately a lot of schools are excluded from the Frazer's list. Elementary school must be JK-GR6 to be included in the ratings. All JK-GR5 schools are excluded. Almost all schools in central Hamilton are JK-GR5 and are excluded.

Georgetown is a good commuter town where the homes tend to be more affordable and has a small town feel to it!
