At 3 years old its probably the only day I remember well . I was told to go to my grandmothers basement . Grandma told me I could not go out to play it might storm . I looked out the basement window the sky was black . That was the first time a storm scared me ! This show tells me gust why .

Got to say I grew up on oakwood Ave one block north of the baseball fields and in all my 55 years I've never heard such nonsense....I actually remember going over it in a car before the Gould street bridge opened in 1978

Looked like someone was trying to restore the old general store. Do you know if the Mennonites were doing that? It seems like that building would suit their purposes. Also, is the area referred to by it's original name for historical purposes, or did the locals completely change it?

I own an old IOOF building in downtown Perry, the main hall still had a stage, hidden door locks and a peep hole. There was a second smaller hall also for the order of the Eastern Stars.

Has anyone read, " Ghost towns of Michigan ", by Larry Wakefield? He tells of numerous towns, many of which were built up centered around the logging industry but when the logging died, so did the town and people moved on. Interesting reading.
