Innovative solution to quickly issuing finish tokens
Brilliant! Going to try this out at our parkrun. Thanks
Hi Richard, I love the new design. We do struggle with the elastic on the old ones. Thank you for sharing the design.
Hi Jill, thanks. In trials of this new one, we found that on occasion the volunteers forget to keep the dispenser upright all the time, especially after the run had finished. This caused the token sorters to have to sort ALL the tokens, not just those which were used. I am working on a new design that should solve the problem. I'll let you know how we get on.
Bonjour RM C’est vraiment Intéressant votre invention, alors est ce qu'on peut faire une commande à distance pour la gestion de fil d'attente dans un hôpital en place?

Excellent Richard!!
Where can I purchase one of these finish token dispensers please?
Hi. Unfortunately it's not possible to buy one of these. One can be created by someone with a 3D printer according to a design I have published. The link to the design is as follows: www.thingiverse.com/thing:4757503
Great idea. How much force and/or fine motor is required to use this?
Hi, Full details here www.thingiverse.com/thing:2950534 and, a new version will be published shortly, which uses gravity only
Richard that is fantastic you are very talented, can't wait to use it at Rothwell parkrun
What a delightful invention!
Greate . can u give to buy it
RAHUL SHARMA hi, you can’t buy one directly but the designs are freely available on the thingiverse web site. If you don’t know anyone with a 3D printer, there are companies on-line who provide the service (you send the files to them and they create). The link to the design is in the replies to the other comments.
How large are the finish tokens you used when you designed the token dispenser? In Australia the finish tokens are 64mm tall and as such they are too tall to fit into the dispenser.
Hi, I was looking into getting one of these printed for a small parkrun I help out at and was wondering if you could suggest what material it should be printed in? I've no experience with this area so the long-list of acronyms of the websites I'm looking at don't mean anything to me.
Hi Damian. I have printed a set of these for Rothwell parkrun and a few others using a material called “PLA”, this is a bio sourced and degradable plastic that is easy to print on a home printer. Because it will biodegrade it might have a limited life but so far this hasn’t been an issue. For a more resilient product and/or if you are going to send to a professional printer would be to use ABS which is used for a variety of household products (e.g. Lego is made of ABS). For a home printer ABS is more difficult to work with.
@@richardmann55 Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
Please could you link to the loading and demo videos?

I hope the two I've posted are the ones you are looking for :)
Richard (and everyone else). You may find the Facebook group "parkrun results processing support (unofficial)" useful
Great idea this is awesome
Thanks Chris!
Do you have a link to the files? Would love to print our own
Hi Andre. Sure, the files are available at this link www.thingiverse.com/thing:2950534 I am just finishing the design for a new improved version and I will publish new files in thingiverse in the next few days if you can hang-fire before you print
Looks great. How can I get one?
Paul Coxall the design is freely available at www.thingiverse.com/thing:2950534 all you need is access to a 3D printer and you can make one (this video is an early prototype, the version published on thingiverse is a refined version and further updates will be made following live use)
Thanks. 3D printer will be a problem. Only heard of such things!
That's amazing!
I loved the reveal of the RSPB area. The mystery of "what was behind the fence" must have been wonderful for you to have found out.
