I am currently listening to AL ICE on KU audible and I am enjoying the series. I highly recommend anyone that is interested in AI to download the series. The Author , Charles does a great job illustrating how AI is used .

Jay is one of the absolute best people I've ever known. A fantastic author is just a huge bonus! :)

Man it's just like you said it near the beginning with cartels, being part of "the system" has it's benefits. Which in the long run are ruining us (Argie here). Another thing I share is the english "we gotta build this up" mentality vs the "let's exploit all we can" the spanish had. During the years 1806 and 1807 the english tried to invade us twice, and we deterred them successfully; a discussion I get headed about is that ot would have been much better for the sea facing provinces to lose, we would have been under the english regime for quite some time, bit with the benefits being a protected royal colony brings, we would be much better off now than we currently are. I always made the comparison with the natural industrialization of the US against the forced industrialization down here during the 40-50-60s which ended up distributing wealth just among the already capable instead of natural competence. There's more than the eye perceives but I share mostly of the views shared.
