The government is aware about the disease but how long will it take for the same government to address the same issue and protect the environment and the lives of humans and other animals? This is really saddening... I don't think this development is supposed to be addressed very speedily.

How are the investors going to obey the law of the republic of Zambia, when the same government is weak. In this regard, the government is not protecting her citizens.

These people suffered on the job and the company should take full responsibility and take proper medication. Ministry of Labour and workers compensation help these Zambians and not those dodge stories that are coming out. Don't neglect workers in such a way, this is so bad and saddening to see people being exploited in this manner in the name of investment.

The government has to protect the health of the citizens, its not just about bringing investors we need a Government that priorities the health of the country and not the investors. Thanks to CEJ for bringing this to light now we need a lasting solution not only to the manganese poisoning but also solutions for all healthhazards in the mining sector. Government has to protect its people, these investors don't care about us all thy want are the our God given minerals. Someone was sleeping instead of doing there job well, they new that this was going to happen but ignorantly signed the agreement. Why are investors always protected Someone has to do there Job that's why they are in that office, as Zambians we won't tolerate the hash conditions we are exposed to in these companies. We are not happy with what's happening 😢

This is very saddening. This is one of the reasons why in Light of Zambia- LOZ movement we want to nationalize minerals because it's only the government that can mine sustainably and responsibly, of course under Ubuntu Model of Governance. Democracy will only continue giving us agencies which are toothless. "Let there be Light"

There is need for mine investors to participate actively in such projects and ensure the safety of the people and the environment.
