My personal opinion is that it's more comparable to different styles of the same genre. Like hardcore and pop punk, Slayer and Iron Maiden, or Noize and EDM. I get what Darby means though, and how any of this is controversial is completely beyond me. I don't know, whatever.

Great video I agree aew isn't main stream. I honestly don't care for aew just because of the story lines. I got back into wrestling just to see what's going on and this was during the bloodline story. There wasHistory great story telling.

AEW can’t seem to do anything right. They are so obsessed with being trendy that they don’t even care anymore about being good. Bringing in a stable of lower-midcarders with a 50-year-old as their leader to give Lashley a manufactured push and a title reign just to momentarily satisfy the smarks won’t move the needle even a little bit. There has to be a big picture in mind, not booking on the fly based on immediately gratifying emotions.

Wrestling fans got way into matches, so now every match is about the match. There has to be a story that's semi related to the match but can be resolved by a match. Otherwise this is all you're going to get until the end of time because wrestling writers are wrestlers and see things from a wrestler-eye view. The fundamentals of storytelling aren't there with almost everything they do now and the face suffers most when this is done. A heel also has to sincerely piss off the audience or else you have a predictable pointless story, and these guys can't do that because low t or something idk.

Just curious, why TNA weestlers on NXT? I agree Joe Hendry should have won. Nick has won multiple world titles in WWE waiting 3/4 months is zero deal for him I'm sure. My take on the nxt and tna partnership, is a bit different then others. I actually think it's more then just getting talent from tna. I actually think they want to prop tna up, to make them compete with aew. To make them look bad in general. Because they have lent them some production team stuff. For their shows, so the quality can improve. On a show by show basis.

Joe Hendry as a World Champ in TNA, yes. An NXT champ, yes. An AEW champ by the year’s end, it can happen but the booking needs to be good. A WWE World Heavyweight champ… Maybe, if it does the booking needs to be REALLY good. WWE Undisputed champ… Sorry but no, not yet. Not by the year end. He would need a Daniel Bryan level push from the audience, a story behind his title shot on the level of Cody, and charisma on the level of LA Knight OR an imposing stable like the Bloodline. At the moment he has one of those 3 (or 4) and that’s the charisma

AEW/ROH is definitely a distant third. TNA usually books their women better, but what WWE lacks in consistency, they make up for with size and flexibility. WWE has the best for now simply because they have enough options for top talent and actually has some depth in the rest of the roster.

AEW has improved a lot over the past couple of years. They've come a long way since non-talents Like Leva Bates, Brandi Rhodes, & Allie left only to make room for actual wrestlers like Deonna Purazzo, Mariah May, & Athena.
